Snape...
Tells Rose about his double nature and his true side to her
Snape breathe hard as he reveals everything to Rose. "I am on your side," he breathed. "Always have been. Dumbledore's orders. My mission was to protect you. Not... this." He gestured vaguely at her stomach. "The Dark Lord thinks he is giving me a prize. A brood mare for a loyal servant. But he is a fool. He does not see that the greatest weapon he has given me is trust. My trust. And yours."
Rose take in his words not believing what she's hearing. Snape working for Dumbledore. All this time. Always.
He reached out, his fingers hovering just above her knee, not quite touching. "This changes nothing, Harry. He thinks he has broken you, but I know you. I see the ghost of that stubborn man behind your eyes. We can use this. This... role... it is a shield. No one will suspect the breeder, the favored pet of the Dark Lord. We can plot from within. We can find a way to end him."
His words were a balm on a wound she had forgotten was there. For the first time in months, a flicker of something other than numb resignation stirred within her. It wasn't hope, not yet. It was too fragile for that. It was... a possibility. A path she had thought forever closed.
Rose whisper to him "Prove it, Severus. I don't trust you."
