Shadows Over Neo-Tokyo

The day began deceptively calm. The sun broke through the crystal towers of Neo-Tokyo, casting long, sparkling reflections on the streets and bathing everything in a gentle, almost unreal glow. But beneath the surface, something simmered. The dreams from the previous night clung to the thoughts of the Sailor Senshi like poisonous fog—invisible, yet impossible to ignore. Each of them felt it: a pull in the chest, a tingling on the skin, a whisper in the ears that refused to

Her hands were clenched in her lap, the Silver Crystal in her chest pulsing restlessly, as if fighting against something. Chibiusa sat beside her on the floor, knees drawn up, clutching her small pink crystal tightly. Neither had spoken much since they had held each other.

Suddenly, the grand double doors slid open. Luna and Artemis entered, followed by a royal advisor whose face was ashen with shock.

“Neo-Queen Serenity,” he began in a trembling voice, “last night… one hundred and twelve citizens vanished without a trace. Old, young, entire families… most from the party district. No traces. No screams. No surveillance footage. They’re simply… gone.”

Usagi felt her heart skip a beat. “One hundred and twelve…?” she whispered. Her fingers dug into the fabric of her dress.

Luna leaped onto the table, her eyes narrowed. “This is no coincidence. The energy in the city has shifted. Something dark has awakened—something ancient. Something we’ve sensed before.”

Chibiusa began to cry softly. “Mama… the dreams… they were real, weren’t they?”

Usagi pulled her daughter close, stroking her silver hair. “Yes,” she whispered. “And I feel that the disappearances and the dreams are connected. We need to gather the others. Right now.”

That afternoon, the Sailor Senshi assembled in the Crystal Palace. The air crackled with tension. No one spoke first. All of them looked exhausted—dark circles under their eyes, flushed cheeks, restless hands. Each carried the same secret, unaware that the others shared it.

Usagi stood before them, her voice trembling slightly as she began.

“I had a dream last night,” she said. “Red eyes in the darkness… touches. Very intense. Very… real. I’m not the only one, am I?”

Silence. Then they nodded—hesitantly, ashamed, but honestly.

Ami looked down. “Me too. It was… as if someone was there. Inside me. I couldn’t fight it. And I didn’t want to.”

Rei clenched her fists so tightly her knuckles turned white. “The fire in my dream was black. And I gave myself to it. Completely.”

Makoto gave a bitter laugh. “I thought I was imagining it. But yeah… me too. Strong hands. A body taking me. And I moaned like never before.”

Minako brushed a strand of hair from her face nervously. “I danced… naked… surrounded by eyes. And hands. And… more. I came as if it were real.”

Haruka and Michiru exchanged a long glance. “Both of us,” Haruka said quietly. “Together. It was… overwhelming.”

Setsuna spoke last, her voice calm but brittle. “The timelines distorted. And I allowed it. I wanted it.”

Hotaru nodded silently, her fingers gripping the scythe so tightly the metal creaked.

Usagi took a deep breath. “And Chibiusa and I… we had the same dream. It wasn’t just a dream. It was a warning. And now over a hundred people have vanished—right in the party district. Exactly where this energy was strongest.”

Rei stepped forward, her eyes burning. “We have to go there tonight. Right now. We search for clues. We find out what happened.”

“But we split up,” Ami added quickly. “If this **** is targeting us specifically, we can’t all stay together. That would be too dangerous.”

Usagi nodded slowly. “Agreed. Sailor Moon and the Inner Senshi—that’s me, Ami, Rei, Makoto, and Minako—go together to the center of the district. We stay close, cover each other. Haruka, Michiru, Setsuna, and Hotaru split up. You investigate individually, talk to witnesses, look for patterns, listen around. Chibiusa… you stay here. In the palace. You’re still too close to this.”

Chibiusa jumped up. “But Mama—I want to help! I can—”

“No,” Usagi interrupted gently but firmly. She placed both hands on Chibiusa’s shoulders. “I need you here. Safe. If something goes wrong… you’re our backup. Understand?”

Chibiusa bit her lip, tears in her eyes, but finally nodded reluctantly.

“Then it’s decided,” Usagi said. Her voice was steadier now. “Tonight. We go hunting.”

The sun slowly sank behind the crystal towers. The shadows grew longer.

The warriors of light prepared themselves—unaware that the darkness had already taken root within them.

And deep beneath the city, in the sealed Eclipse, Lilithara smiled into the darkness.

She felt them.

All of them.

Every single dream.

Every single spark of desire.

She waited.

The night was drawing closer.

And with it, the truth.

Whom do we follow now?
