Hypnotising Holly

Holly had been making irregular visits to a hypnotherapist for a few months now. It was all paid for by her work as part of their commitment to supporting the welfare of their staff. Both her job and personal life could get stressful sometimes, so it seemed silly of her not to take advantage. It was hardly a magical cure for all of her problems, but she did find it helpful.

Holly's anxiety had been through the roof since her younger sister had chosen to reveal the secret family curse to a friend, leading to a very real risk of Holly being exposed herself if she didn't act soon. So she decided to visit Dr Lewis to get some general help with keeping calm.

"You do seem a lot more tense than usual Holly" he noted "Are you sure there isn't something you aren't telling me? I really can't help you fully if I don't have all the information.

"No, just work stuff" she lied.

"Okay, then shut your eyes, relax your body and allow yourself to be guided by my voice. I am going to put you into a deep trance."

Sometime later, Holly found herself waking up feeling very relaxed and entirely at peace with her situation. She yawned and rubbed her eyes while the doctor smiled down at her.

"How are you feeling?"

"This is incredible" Holly enthused "I was in a bit of a state when I came here, but I don't remember ever feeling as chilled as I do now"

"You will find it quite impossible to feel anxious ever again Holly. Your curse saw to that" Dr Lewis smiled.

Holly should have been in a state of panic at that revelation. She should have screamed. She should have run out of the room before something unspeakable happened to her. But she didn't have the capacity for any of that now.

"I assume I told you about my curse while I was under then?" she asked without any apparent emotion.

"That's right Holly. You told me all about it in great detail. So I'm in control of you now. How does that make you feel?" the doctor asked her.

"I should probably be worried, or angry" Holly shrugged "But how would those emotions help my situation? What is it you are planning to do to me?"

"That's a fine question Holly. Attractive as you are, I have no intention of physically forcing myself on you. I am a married man with ethics. But I do have a project in mind I think you can help me with"

"Go on" Holly urged the doctor, curious to hear more but still very calm about all of this.

"I have a vision where we put on hypnotic shows together, with you doing anything paying audience members request at my command. I can also use some of the more unbelievable aspects of your curse, for example when I made your hair turn blonde while you were under, to make the audience believe they have been hypnotised into thinking they are witnessing the impossible"

"But that wouldn't be hypnotism, it would be magic" Holly pointed out.

"True, but that would be our little secret" the doctor winked.

"It sounds as if these performances are likely to degenerate into sex shows" Holly speculated, but without sounding angry or outraged.

"You are a very pretty young woman, and if those sort of requests are made from paying customer I cannot afford to turn them down" Dr Lewis admitted "But it will be billed as a hypnotic demonstration. You will not be described anywhere as an adult entertainer"

"So what now? Are you going to allow me to go home while you prepare for this?" Holly asked.

"Yes, I have other patients to see" the doctor noted "But I will clear my schedule for tomorrow and you should do the same. I need to explore your curse fully before we take you out on the road. Holly, be her at nine am tomorrow on the dot"

"I will" Holly nodded obediently.
