Who finds the cookies?
Three Roommates
"Oh my god, this is terrible!" said Chloe after taking a bit of Mallory's lemon cube.
Mallory bent over in laughter. 
"I told you I can't bake!"
"I'll stick with Chloe's chocolate chip cookies," said Becca as she reached for a cookie.
The three young ladies, all roommates in Anaheim, CA, held a baking contest one Saturday morning.
Chloe was working on her master's degree in psychology and worked part time on campus, Mallory was a first year high school English teacher who taught Senior English, and Becca had just started as the assistant manager at a Disneyland hotel. They had all met in college.
"Fine! I'll go buy something!" said Mallory.
"Cheater!" said Becca.
"I already lost!" Mallory left. She drove to a small grocery store co-op. She went to the cookie and snacks aisle and found a box of fortune cookies. This might be fun, she thought. She bought the cookies and drove back to the apartment.
"OK, try these," she said after walking back in. She opened the box, and each girl took a cookie and opened it.
