Jan. Week 3: Monday--Leah accepts Mr. Howard's summons...

Leah's heart sank. She knew exactly what Mr. Howard wanted from her. She had no choice but to agree, though the thought of being alone with him made her skin crawl.

"I'll be there." is all she sent.

Leah shuddered, feeling like a lamb being led to the slaughter. She would have to endure Mr. Howard's twisted desires--yet again-- if she wanted to keep her secret safe.

When the bell rang for her planning period, Leah reluctantly made her way to the principal's office. She paused outside the door, straightening her clothes and putting on a brave face before entering.

"Ah Leah—I mean Miss Williams," Mr. Howard said, correcting his overly informal tone while the door to his office and Amber’s secretarial ears were within possible earshot. "Please, come on in."

“Happy Monday?” Leah said incredulously as she stood before Mr. Howard’s desk.

“Its about to be a lot happier.” he said before moving toward Leah.
