Chapter 13 by Herrin26 Herrin26

What's next?

An Old Friend

They stepped out of the shower, their skin rosy from the heat and their breaths still heavy. Rachel grabbed a towel and wrapped it around Chloe, her own body gleaming like a freshly minted coin. "Now, let's get dressed," Rachel said, her voice filled with a new energy. "We're going out."

They rummaged through Rachel's closet, pulling out the sluttiest outfits they could find. Chloe had never worn anything so revealing before, but the thrill of the night's adventure still buzzed in her veins, making her feel invincible. Rachel picked out a black lace lingerie set with a see-through skirt and a crop top that barely covered Chloe's breasts. "Perfect," Rachel said with a wink. "You'll have them drooling in the streets."

Chloe slipped into the outfit, feeling Rachel's eyes on her, watching every move with a hungry gaze. The material was so thin that it was like wearing nothing at all, the lace teasing and revealing more than it concealed. Rachel picked out a pair of stilettos that Chloe had to admit made her feel powerful, even if they were a little hard to walk in. "Practice makes perfect," Rachel said with a smirk, handing them to her. "And trust me, baby, you'll want to be walking just fine tonight."

Their eyes met in the mirror as Rachel stepped into a matching set, her own curves hugged by the fabric in a way that made Chloe's heart skip a beat. Rachel's hair fell in damp waves around her face, her makeup smudged but somehow still flawless. Chloe felt a rush of adrenaline as they both dressed, the excitement of the unknown thrumming through her veins. They were a team, ready to take on whatever the night had in store.

The engine of Rachel's car roared to life, the sound a declaration of their intentions as they peeled out of the driveway. The town of Arcadia sprawled before them, a playground of potential and danger. Rachel's hand found Chloe's thigh, her grip firm as they sped through the quiet streets. Chloe's heart raced, the thrill of the night still fresh, the anticipation of what was to come a delicious ache in her chest.

As they cruised down the main strip, Chloe's eyes scanned the sidewalks, looking for any sign of life. Rachel had a plan, but Chloe couldn't shake the feeling that something unexpected was about to happen. And then she saw her. Max Caulfield, her old best friend, standing outside the Two Whales Diner, her camera hanging around her neck like a talisman from a past life.

"Pull over!" Chloe yelled, her heart racing. Rachel's grip on the steering wheel tightened, but she did as asked, the tires screeching against the asphalt. Rachel shot her a questioning look, but Chloe was already out of the car, her barely-there top fluttering in the breeze. Max looked up, her eyes widening in shock and surprise.

"Chloe?"

Max's voice was a mix of astonishment and confusion, her eyes darting between Chloe and Rachel in the car. Rachel leaned out the window, her smile wicked. "You know her?" Rachel called out.

"Yeah, she's... an old friend," Chloe managed to say, her voice sounding distant even to her own ears. Rachel's eyes narrowed slightly, a flicker of something unreadable crossing her features.
