Mother Monose gets called out

June held Cindy's hand as they sat in the entertainment room. Several of the older harem women sat around them catching up on the happenings among the harem, while watching videos on the big screen.

The video of June and Caleb's wedding came to an end as they they got in the car to head for the reception. Cindy snuggled June and said, "That was just as beautiful as I remember. You were a lovely bride June. And Caleb looked dashing in his tux as he came all over you."

Megumi sat on June's other side, cuddled up to her. "Should we watch the honeymoon orgy next? Oh! Wait! How about the bachelorette party?"

June leaned into Megumi and said, "No, that's enough movies for today. I want to hear more about what's been going on with Harold."

Cindy smirked, "I want to know what you girls have planned for MY bachelorette. Mary hinted that you hired strippers."

June shrugged her shoulders. "Kathy said she was planning some kind of surprise entertainment for the party. She told me she got a stripper to dance for Caleb, but I know nothing about it. No one does. I don't even know when she found time to find one, much less have her dance for Caleb."

What she said was true, and frustrated June. The normality that changed June's upcoming wedding to one between Harold and Cindy was only two days old. Like June, Kathy was present when Caleb changed reality again, so neither of their memories changed like everyone else's did when the past changed again. She knew that Caleb didn't have a stripper dance for him at the service party, and they didn't have any visitors after they got home.

Brandy did know who the stripper was, but she wasn't going to reveal the secret and spoil the surprise. Instead, she intentionally misdirected June by laughingly saying, "That's because you didn't ask me. Half my sorority have spent time on the pole at our local women's club. Kathy wanted to do something special for Caleb, so I hooked her up. You're going to love the stripper, Cindy. Her stripper name is Diamond. Kathy said that Caleb loved her dance so much, he covered her in cum from her knees to her hair. When they were done, Caleb fucked her in the shower against the wall."

June spluttered, "When the heck did this happen?"

Brandy smirked at her, "I don't know, honestly. Some time last week. All I got from Kathy was a massive orgasm as a thank you."

June cocked an eyebrow. That didn't make any sense to her. "Last week? Before the service party?"

"Well, yeah. It's not like Caleb's had free time to do it since then." Brandy answered.

Megumi looked up at June and asked, "Are you feeling okay, Honey? You've been awfully scatterbrained the last day or so."

June shook herself. She needed to be more careful with what she said, or people might find out about her son's magic watch. "Sorry. Maybe it's the pregnancy hormones. I just can't figure out when Kathy and Caleb had time to see a stripper. It couldn't have been at the mansion, or surely Chloe or Captain Angela would know about it. It would be impossible for Kathy to sneak anyone past the Lotus Sisters."

Melissa laughed, "Don't be so sure of that. If anyone could do it, it would be our Witch Queen. One of the shadow magic spells in that book Helena gave her can create illusions that will fool anyone. Remember your porn scene with Caleb. Kathy created a door out of smoke that let us watch you two make love, without the camera seeing us. She even turned the real door invisible."

Captain Angela stepped away from the wall she had been standing guard at and exclaimed, "What? No one told me about this? That kind of spell could seriously compromise the mansion's security."

Mary closed the book she was studying and held it up. "Relax Captain. I've got the spellbook right here. Right now, Kathy is the only one with the mana capacity for the spells inside. I've got the next largest mana pool and it's still too small for most of these spells. I'd need help from the rest of the harem to cast most of them. And to ease your mind, you might like to know that these runes and incantations are very complex. It would be very difficult to memorize them. If they are even a little bit off, the spells will fail. Kathy can't cast these spells without the book, and I'm not giving it back to her anytime soon. Those stunts she pulled at the service party showed me she doesn't respect how dangerous magic can be."

"As far as we know, everyone that can use magic is a member of my son's harem. I realize that there may be other witches in hiding out there, like Mary's ancestors were, but I doubt we are in any danger." June said to Angela, then turned to Mary and added, "Didn't you say that most witches have an aversion to shadow magic?"

Mary nodded, but said, "True. And I know Kathy would never intentionally hurt anyone with or without her magic. But not all the witches of the past were good people. Someone wrote this book June, and some of the spells inside are... disturbing. They aren't all bad, but one of them would let you steal the physical attributes of another person. For instance, I could grow to be as tall as Amber, and make her shrink down to my size. Or I could just steal her gigantic boobs and add them to my own. Another spell allows you to take total control of a person's body. They would become a prisoner in their own mind. Honestly, the more I study it, the more I wonder what kind of horrible person could write it."

June asked, "If it's so horrible, then why the hell did Helena give it to Kathy?"

Mother Monose was seated beside Mary and answered June's question before Mary could, "The Mother Superior gave it to her because no one in the Sisterhood can read it. There is a spell woven into the pages of the book that prevent people that don't have any mana from understanding the words. All we knew about the book is that it was written by a witch that had an affinity for shadow magic, like the Harem Queen has."

Chloe pursed her lips. She knew the Mother Superior better than anyone in the room. Her loyalty to the Sisterhood was strong, but thanks to the Harem Effect her loyalty to her Queen was stronger. "Mother Monose, did the Mother Superior give her this book because she thought it may lead to a breakthrough in understanding the strange language that Caleb and Kathy sometimes use? I know one of your missions here is to try and record them speaking it."

Monose's nostrils flared, the only sign of her sudden anger. Monose's official mission was to supplement the Stretcher King's security until the rest of the Lotus Sisters assigned to his protection were set up across the city. Her anger only lasted a few seconds though. Neither the Stretcher King nor his Harem Queen were home, meaning Monose wasn't actually doing her official job while sitting on her ass in the mansion.

With a sigh Monose admitted, "You are right, Chloe. And I have already failed in that mission. Not only did my recording devices not capture a single verbal utterance, the video I took pixelated over their mouths such that even a lip reader would be thwarted. I have already informed the High Mother's Council that the Gods and Goddesses that bless the Stretcher King are being protective of his privacy."

Turning to June, Monose bowed her head and said, "Holy Mother, I have nothing to say in defense of my actions. I admit that what I have done is a sin against the Stretcher King. As soon as the Stretcher King returns, I will submit myself to him for punishment."

Captain Angela opened her mouth to speak, but nothing came to her. Invading a Stretcher King's privacy could earn her a **** sentence. She closed her mouth as she realized that the commander of the Lotus Sisters was taking the blame onto herself, rather than risk the wrath of the gods falling upon the Mother Superior and the High Mother's council that gave Mother Monose her orders.

June smirked at the obvious contrition of the homely priestess, having no idea of what Monose expected her punishment to be. She knew her son had used his watch to prevent people from being able to eavesdrop on private conversations between her, Kathy, Lori, and himself. She found the fact that the Sisterhood tried to thwart his magic watch to be funny. She snorted a laugh that caused the Mother to look up at her.

With a kind smile on her face, June said, "Monose, I doubt my son will care very much. I admit, I was a little pissed off when I first found out about this weird language thing too. Kathy and my sister were speaking it when I walked in on them, and I was upset that not only was my own son having these private moments without me, but my sister was doing it and I couldn't. But that was before I started doing it too. Just so you know, it isn't a different language we are speaking. I only know English. I doubt it could be translated, even if you could record it. It sounded like random mouth noises when I heard it."

June looked around and spotted Lottie. Pointing her way she said, "Lottie thinks the gods don't want anyone knowing our secrets. But most of the time, when that language thing happens, we are just chatting. No big secrets. Usually it's just little intimate moments between us that we also have with everyone else in the house. Mary told me that Kathy and I were doing it when we watched the videos of Caleb proposing to some of his harem, and you could hardly call those secrets."

June had no memory of any of the proposals, and that was the reason Kathy suggested they watch them together. Kathy had been sitting beside her, pointing out things she thought June should know. She had been watching her wedding video earlier for the same reason.

Monose nodded her head. The Holy Mother's words aligned with Monose's own observations. Her attempt at recording the Stretcher King and his Harem Queen occurred right before they made love on one of the garden's flower beds. Even the Harem Queen's orgasmic shouts had been unintelligible gibberish.

June caught Monose's eye and grinned. "If you still want to 'submit yourself for punishment', go right ahead. Knowing my son, you may want a nap first though. A couple dozen orgasms will probably do you some good, but it's going to wear you out."

Monose allowed herself a small sense of relief that the Holy Mother was not angry. According to some reports, she had a reputation for having a volcanic temper. The Holy Mother's joke about the punishment she expected her son to give Monose made the old woman smile. Then June smirked at her.

"So Mother Monose, are there any more secret missions you are on while you are here? Or was that the only one?"
