Dr. Kimble's Sequence Breaker!

Lexi walks along a street in the direction of the Cross Church. 'I feel I'm forgetting something important...' Her thoughts return to the conversation she had with Evelyn in chapter 39 and chapter 40. 'Oh, that's right. There is a room warded against magic with magic suppression inside. I wonder if my abilities will even work in there.' While tilting her head, she combs through the conversation at that time. 'Let's see. Evelyn told me that an A.I. would be invaluable in this situation.'

She softly smiles and tips her head slightly in a friendly acknowledgement of a couple walking in front of her. Shortly after, she comes to a stop. 'Didn't I have something I could use to improve the effectiveness of Merona and Solace?' She uses a mental command to open her inventory. Her eyes fall upon Dr. Kimble's Sequence Breaker!. 'I didn't really check this out before...' She glances at the couple as they continue to walk away, reaching in to pull out the book, causing a notification to pop up in the middle of her view.

Dr. Kimble's Sequence Breaker! When learned it will unlock the following skills.

A.I. Mechanoid will summon both A.I. units, Merona and Solace, at once instead of just one.

A.I. units, Merona and Solace, will be able to use a special combo move. Sequence Breaker!

This move will deal 10 times their combine auto attack damage. 5 minute cooldown.

She reads those words a few times over. 'Whoa. Not only can I summon both, but they get a nice ability to boot?' The tip of her right hand's pointer finger lightly presses against the middle of her bottom lip. 'Let's see how much that would be.' She uses a mental command to open up her skill sheet to verify how much damage Merona's and Solace's combined auto attack damage would do. 'Forty plus fifty is ninety. Add another zero for ten times and you get nine hundred damage. That's impressive.' She glances down at the ground. 'I wonder if it's a shared or separate cooldown. That would be broken if it were separate.'

She starts to chuckle mischievously at the thought of having another broken ability. Just then, she hears the unmistakable sound of a hard slap in the distance from her right back side. When she looks up in that direction, she sees the man from the couple that passed by her earlier, rubbing his left cheek while being yelled at by the woman he was with. For a moment, Lexi is confused. That quickly changes when the man steals a glance at her. The woman slaps his other cheek before storming off in a huff. The man soon giving chase, clearly in the wrong here.

Lexi looks down at herself. 'Maybe I should wear something less, eye-catching and conspicuous...' She shakes her head. 'Eh, that's their problem. Not mine.' She starts chewing on her bottom lip while looking around for a secluded area. 'I should use this book before I go to the Cross Church.' A few minutes later, she walks down a narrow path away from prying eyes. 'This looks like a good place to use it.' Confident that no one is looking, she uses a mental command to hit, 'Yes', causing the world around her to break into a million pieces.

A stronger wave of disorientation washes over her and Lex, feeling a much stronger difference in time dilation than when she and Lex were separated by an illusion barrier at home. 'What the hell...' They both think as the world before Lexi starts to piece itself back together. The familiar surroundings of Dr. Kimble's robotics facility's assembly pad lay before her. The four robotic arms are holding different various robotic limbs come to a hold as Dr. Kimble's voice comes over an intercom. "You are lucky I was paying attention, Lex. Or should I say Lexi?" (For those that don't remember what this place looks like, the description is in chapter 49.)

The following appears in the center of her view:

Listen and follow Dr. Kimble's instructions.

Provide Dr. Kimble with a DNA sample and utter the verbal authorization code she gives you into the intercom.

You may not leave until these tasks are complete.

Merona's voice interjects: "Mistress Lexi doesn't have control over where she arrives, Dr. Kimble."

A soft sigh proceeds Dr. Kimble's voice: "Right. Gaia doesn't like making things convenient. Why would she start now."

Solace's voice: "Should I set the table for Mistress Lexi, Dr. Kimble?"

Dr. Kimble's voice: "No, we have too much to do. We'll have something to eat later. Now, Lexi. I would like you to follow the yellow line on the floor. This'll take you to the robotics emotions center I've created in honor of your achievement with Merona." (This is in reference to what happened starting in chapter 82 to chapter 88.)

Lexi tilts her head slightly. 'What is she talking about?' She shakes her head. "Yeah, um, in female form. I'm referred to as Lexi. I don't know if you've heard, but I am actually male. Well, I was born male, but I was granted the ability to switch my gender to female. Since then, things have gotten, complicated. I have a male and female form. Both of which concurrently exist. It's mentally taxing, but I've gotten used to it." Dr. Kimble starts to laugh before her voice comes through the intercom. "Wow! That is quite the perplexing and intriguing situation. I would love to study the two of you if I could."

"First things first. Follow that yellow line on the floor. We'll start with why you are here in person." Lexi looks at the floor to locate the yellow line. Unlike the blue line which goes to the right, this one leads straight ahead. This area previously housed a solid wall, but instead a white door with a number pad to the right is affixed in the middle of it. Like the last time she was here, a buzzing sound rang through the air. 'Ah, right. Now I can open the door.' She presses a button just below the number pad, causing the door to slide open.

A short empty hallway lays before her with another door at the end. After opening the next door, she finds herself in an elaborate room with different artistic expressions of her likeness. Some are with Lex, Sofia, Divi, and others. However, many of them are depicting her warmly reaching out toward the viewer. There is even a life-sized clay statue of her posed with its arms reaching out, clearly signifying the desire to embrace the viewer. 'I'm not sure what to think of these, but they are beautifully done.'

Just then, a door on the left side of the room opens, making way for Dr. Linda Kimble, Merona, and Solace to walk in. Merona is looking down shyly as Linda walks over to Lexi. Lexi tries to cast Observe on Linda, but is unsuccessful. So instead, she takes a closer look at Linda as she approaches. Linda has almond brown skin, heart-shaped face, shoulder-length straight lavender hair, soft angled medium thick eyebrows, vibrant upturned brown eyes, full round lips, and a dimple on her right side.

As Lexi saw before, Linda is wearing a white lab coat with a name tag that reads, 'Dr. Linda Kimble, Head of the Advanced Biology and Robotics Department', but this time she can clearly see a white blouse and black slacks underneath. Linda brightly smiles and lifts her hands up to the height of her shoulders while gesturing to the rest of the room. "So, what do you think of the art gallery? Merona's emotions inspired her to make it." Lexi looks once again at the different art pieces around the room.

Merona's left hand is gently gripping Solace's right hand. Her body quivers as her light blue eyes focusing on Lexi in anticipation. Solace turns to whisper something into Merona's ear. She nods slightly with a little smile upon her rosy bow-shaped lips. Lexi's expression softens while looking at Merona. "It's unexpected, but breathtaking. Come here, Merona." Gesturing for Merona to approach before stretching out here arms. Merona takes a step closer, but once Lexi's arms stretch out.

She makes a mad dash at Lexi. Practically jumping into Lexi's embrace like a child would a partner after the first day of school. Lexi catches Merona. Twirling her around once before setting her on the ground, but her arms stay wrapped around Merona's waist. "You're quite the artist, Merona." Merona's eyes look deeply into Lexi's heterochromatic eyes. "I love you, Mistress Lexi." Her voice quavering with raw emotion. Lexi blinks as she watches in slow motion as Merona leans in for a kiss.

'Merona loves me?' This was clearly a shock, but not an unpleasant one. She moistens her lips. Tilting her head to properly accept Merona's advance. The softness and suppleness of Merona's lips is more than she is prepared for. Their lips tenderly caressing one another's for what feels like several minutes. Merona's perky B-cup breasts smoosh firmly against Lexi's D-cups. A mixture of soft groans and moans escape their lips. Merona's fingertips affectionately glide through Lexi's hair. "Mm, I've missed you so much, Mistress Lexi."

She softly whispers against Lexi's lips. Although she isn't breathing nor has body warmth, the raw emotion exuding from Merona's actions and words make the air feel thick with passion. Lexi's body tingles with intense excitement and warmth. Her cheeks turn bright red. "I missed you too, Merona." Merona lets out a soft squeal. Her score shoots up to 189 before kissing Lexi's lips again. This time her tongue passionately caresses Lexi's. By the time they finish kissing, Lexi notices Solace standing next to Linda.

Solace's right arm is wrapped around Linda's waist and he is tenderly kissing her neck. Lexi softly swallows, looking back at Merona who is gazing longingly and affectionately into her eyes. "I have clearly missed a lot. I'm sorry I didn't notice sooner, Merona." Merona shakes her head. "I only found out a little bit ago myself. I am just happy you haven't turned me away." She nuzzles her right cheek against Lexi's neck before laying her head upon Lexi's bosom. Linda smiles brightly. "Yep, it is your experience and passion that has led to this breakthrough, Lexi. For that, you have the thanks of the whole Robotics Department. Myself included."

Solace chuckles, tenderly nipping at Linda's neck. "Shouldn't you be getting to the point, my sweet almond delight?" Linda softly groans. Her left hand gently squeezes his ass. "We have time. Besides, I wouldn't want to ruin this sweet, romantic moment." After a few minutes of enjoying the moment, she sighs contently. "On to why you've been brought here. I am going to have you take advantage of two new features unlocked by Merona's and Solace's advancement to true A.I. status."

"The first is to no longer summon only Solace or Merona, but both simultaneously. The second is to unleash a powerful passionate fighting combo called Sequence Breaker!" She starts to laugh manically before grinning widely. Solace lovingly smiles while watching Linda. "I love how passionate she is about her work." She clears her throat, looking slightly flustered. "All I need from you is a DNA sample and a verbal acceptance and authorization for the computer's teleportation system."

Lexi nods slightly. "Sure, that sounds simple enough. Um, quick question though. Will Solace and Merona be sharing a cooldown since they will both be attacking? Or is it separate?" Linda chuckles. "I like where your head is at. It's a great question, but alas. I couldn't make it so they had a separate cooldown because of how intense the attack sequence is." Lexi sighs. 'There goes my broken ability.' She hugs Merona gently. "That's fine. It is already quite impressive." She looks at Merona. "I look forward to see you and Solace in action."

Merona hums softly while snuggling against Lexi's bosom. "I promise not to disappoint, Mistress Lexi." Solace grins while flexing his left arm. "We won't hold back, Mistress Lexi!" Lexi softly giggles. "That's very reassuring." Linda gestures for them to follow her back through the door they came through. They walk down a cooridor with a singular red line upon the floor until they reach an office marked, 'Dr. Linda Kimble's Office'. Inside is a simple office with an advanced desktop and several shelves with books. There are a couple microscopes, a few syringes, a couple specimen trays with a scalp and sealed swab nearby, and an intercom system on the desk.

"All right. I'll get to work. You just need to relax." She says, gesturing for Lexi to sit down. Merona sits on Lexi's lap and snuggles close when Lexi sits down. Solace on the other hand stays beside Linda. Linda uses the scalp and swab to collect a few skin cells and a small sample of saliva. After which she has Lexi speak a short authorization code into the intercom. Resulting in a small notification appearing saying she may leave at anytime. Merona holds Lexi tightly. Lexi softly sighs.

She runs her left hand's fingertips through Merona's hair. 'She's being so cute...' Linda smiles. "There, all done. Do you have any questions before you go?" Lexi shakes her head. However, her eyes stay focused on Merona. "Be a good girl for Dr. Kimble, okay?" Merona nods. "Of course, Mistress Lexi." Lexi looks at Solace. "Try not to harass your sweet almond delight too much, okay?" Solace smirks. "I don't think I'll be able to, Mistress Lexi." After a warm and tender kiss goodbye, the world shatters again into a million pieces before piecing itself back together. She is standing where she had been previously as a notification appears in the middle of her view.

A.I. Mechanoid has improved - Summons Merona and Solace simultaneously for as long as their bodies hold out and has added the linked skill Sequence Breaker!

Lexi softly smiles upon reading that before brushing it away. 'That was a lot shorter than I expected, but wow. I didn't expect that from Merona and Solace.' She starts walking in the direction of the Cross Church again. With this important event out of the way, she only needs to focus on the quest ahead. Will there be any unexpected hiccups along the way? Or will it turn out to be easier than expected?
