Listen in on the conversation

I slowly creep up to the door, making sure that I’m not making too much sound. Once I get close I press my ear against the bathroom door, straining to listen in on the conversation.

“Mmm.” I heard Emma say, followed by another sweet hum. Then there was a breath of air, followed by another third hum.

Rebecca must be having a rant right now! And Emma is being such a great friend by listening to it all.

It’s a shame I can’t hear Rebecca because I’m so curious as to what the gossip is about!

“Ah-“ I heard Emma breathe out, likely coming to a shocking revelation from what Rebecca said!

“Fuck…” She gasped.

Oh wow, that must be really shocking. I rarely hear Emma curse at all!

Then I started hearing grunts from inside the bathroom. Man, whatever it was must’ve pissed Emma off. Maybe someone did Rebecca majorly wrong or something?

“Oh, fuckkk…” She breathed out, sounding akin to a sigh of relief.

I guess things turned out fine then? Whatever was said, it certainly calmed Emma down.

“Ash-“ I didn’t hear whatever she was going to say next as a knock on the front door took me by surprise, causing me to jump away from the bathroom door.

I stared at it for a moment, making sure an angry Emma wasn’t about to bust out because I eavesdropped.

Breathing my own sigh of relief, I headed towards the front door.
