Chapter 19 by CMW CMW

How mad is Samuel?

Not as much as you would think

I wanted to puke. This yearbook was some kind of sick trophy. 145 victims, separated into 137 losers and 8 winners. Though I wasn't on the list so it was safe to say that there were likely another 10 girls playing right now. Or that was my guess, not that I had any way of knowing. I couldn't be sure if this was doctored information or not but if I wanted to rate it based on my gut. It felt real.

121 Clara Joy

God this was sickening. Reading her profile listed only bullet points about her original self and new self.

Old Profile

There was a picture of her but it was her more glaring then smiling. She was in a professional business suit and had her brown shoulder length hair.

Clara became a game participant when she learned of the game and tried to stop the game master. She seemed unhappy, being more primed for career success with no outlet for creative expression. She seemed to spread that unhappiness with others through rude behavior.

New Profile

The next picture showed her smiling while holding a unicorn stuffed animal. Her hair was mildly longer and a bit curled.

Clara was punished for her disruptive rude behavior. She has since renounced her old ways and supports and enjoys collaborate play. She finds joy in toys an 8 year old would like. She still actively achieves success in her career but she is now more interested in maintaining her position and using her salary for new toys then gaining any new job responsibilities. A+

God. That poor woman. I took a picture of the profile and printed it out. Samuel may be mad at what I did but if he forces me to return the book. I can at least try and have a backup to study. As much as I would rather set this book on fire. Or maybe more accurately, set Samuel on fire. But for all I knew, he had made me unable to harm him. And he would likely be harsh if I tried something like that. So for the time being, I had to reserve myself. For now.

I heard a knock at my door.

Opening it I found campus security. "Principal Clara wants to see you."

"What about?" I asked.

"She didn't say."

I sighed and just decided to go. Likely this was related to me setting Samuel's desk on fire last night. I was going to have to face the music, but I might as well move while my body is listening to me.

While walking through the campus, Samuel waved us down. "Officer! I am going to meet the principal too about the vandalism. I can escort her for you."

The security officer looked at him for a moment but then his radio listed some kind of call, he decided to walk away.

Great I thought.

"So I assume the principal wanting to see me is your doing?" I asked.

"Ha," he said laughing. "Not in the slightest. Or at least not this time."

It was creepy. Was he not mad about me torching his desk? Or was he just good at hiding it.

"I must confess though, while I don't approve of your methods. Your message was quite entertaining this morning," he said still laughing.

"You find this funny you sick bastard?" I asked. Of course he did. What else could he do but find this funny. He was the type that turned a independent career women into a toy loving wierdo.

"Should I not? You'd prefer I'd be mad?" he asked jokingly. "And to your comment on the board. In return for your creativity, I will ignore Katherine's presence in your act. Honestly I barely plan to punish you for it, since no one was hurt."

I breathed a sigh of relief. At least Kat would be happy to hear that. Though, I was genuinely surprised to hear him say he barely intended to punish me. I decided to press the issue. "Does us walking together in a way no one can hear us count as alone. Does that mean you can't lie?"

"Correct," he said. "By the way, if you wanted the year book. You could have just asked. I would have been happy to share it."

"So what is my punishment?" I asked. Not that I was going to thank him for only being less of a psycho, but I might as well try and get more information.

"The punishment I owe you. I was going to flip a coin to see whether you or Katherine got the worse role. Your actions have made the flip no longer needed," he said.

Well that was cryptic as all hell. We arrived in the building and were surrounded by the staff so I guess that ended the conversation. Not that I could confirm he was actually being honest. After all, if he didn't count public as part of his rules, then him saying he did really didn't mean anything. Not that I should trust his fucking rules either way.

The principal opened the door and look surprised we were both here at the same time.

"It's no issue," Samuel said. "Ladies first."

"Okay, Tessa, come in."

Before I could though, Samuel caught my arm and whispered into my ear. "While I excused your methods this time. Be warned. If you harm so much as a skin flake on a player, or innocent person with such recklessness. I will put the fear of god into you."

A chill ran down my spine. Fucking shit.

What does Clara want?
