Plan-R

"Hmm...." Clacking of keys echo into the phone line. "Unfortunately the programing is hardlined into their mainframe. And rewriting them would blank their memory of you." I couldn't help but curse softly as I sat on the edge of my bed. "Isn't there anything you can do?"

More key clacking. "Well Mr. Doe, their IS one thing we could do. But I would highly recommend that you do NOT engage this procedure." I could only cock my head at the confusing tone. "What do you mean?" A slight cough is heard before she answers. "We would need to initiate Plan-R. A wireless signal would be sent to your units neural processors switching them to a pre set story mode."

"That doesn't seem so bad. I mean giving them something to do besid-" The operator cuts me off harshly. "This is VERY bad. Plan-R is for emergency's only. It would set you up into a story line where an unknown number of units would converge on you and..." I grip the phone harder. "Fight for you. If you cant persuade them to put aside their differences, there is a chance that....damage might occur."

"If I don't do this?" I cant help but whisper at the ideas racing through my head. "Then your units will delve deeper into obsession and eventual madness." A humorless chuckle almost falls out of my mouth. "If I don't do this...I loose them to madness, and if I do, there is a chance they may die... I guess I have **** then."
