Mirko's Patrol...

As the country's top hero school starts to fall to the darkness. That same curse has made its way far, infecting some on the other side of Japan. While the vampire's mental influence has helped to keep commotion down, those further from ground zero remain mostly clear headed and able to see the demons for what they are.

One of those people just so happens to be one of the top heroes, Mirko. The rabbit heroine with legs stronger than anyone's. She was on a patrol this morning when someone nearby screamed in terror. She quickly darted to a nearby alley where she found two people, one of them hunched over the other... They quickly turned to face her, a stream of blood dripping down from their mouth. Their red eyes glowed, stunning her for a moment, allowing the demon to escape.

The sun hadn't risen yet, causing her vision to be somewhat obscured. But she could still tell something was strange when the victims wounds had healed within moments. Their torn neck completely sealed and perfectly healthy by the time she could reach them for medical attention.

She frowned and stood back up. "What the hell?"

Soon after, the victim would turn into a new fledgling, quickly giving in to their new urges and lunging at Mirko themselves. Of course she was able to avoid the attack and incapacitate the civilian... Though that was just the beginning.

Throughout the morning, Mirko noticed a thin fog slowly rolling through town. A fog growing thicker and thicker as time went on. She tried to figure out what happened with the two from earlier, and even heard of similar reports popping up from all over.

Different police radio frequencies frantically requesting support. Claims of demons and monsters flooded the airways. Something was going on...

Now Mirko walks an empty street, looking for any sign of demons. She moves cautiously, her ears twitching at any small sound she may pick up.

Suddenly a crack of the pavement behind her draws her attention. She turns around to see two fledgling vampires running at her. Their nude bodies giving them slight discomfort in the daylight.

"Are you the demons I've heard about? Pretty dumb of you to come at me straight on!"

The hero laughs and prepares for an easy fight.
