Unexpected events

Tony was smiling as he left the cafe and started back to the college for his archeology class. He loved the class despite having a stodgy old man as an instructor. He'd only started studying Archeology last year but had learned so much already. He stopped at a stop light and looked around at the busy intersection. Across the street he noticed a beautiful blonde woman and her 4 year old son. The mother was trying calm him while he was running circles around her. He saw a blur out of the corner of his eye and turned to see a new Cadillac speeding towards the intersection and knew it wouldn't stop when the light turned. He turned back in time to see the 4 year old trip and fall into the street right in the path of the speeding car.

Without thinking Tony focused on his magic and threw his hand out hoping his attempt would work. The focused on what he wanted to happen and was surprised when time stopped completely. He hurried across and picked the 4 year old up out of the street. He felt time resume and saw the mother looking around frantically until she saw him step forward with her son just as the car sped by. "Oh My God! I don't know how you managed to get to him but Thank you so much!" she hurried forward to take her son. "It's no problem ma'am. I'm just happy I was here to save him." Tony smiled bashfully as the beauty took her son. "How could I ever repay you!" the woman smiled thankfully but had to admit he was a handsome man. "No need to thank me ma'am. I'd like to think anyone would have done the same." He smiled wondering how he might get the woman's number.

"I know, let me make you dinner! I'm Nesty by the way!" She smiled and held out her hand. "I'm Anthony but everyone calls me Tony. I'd love to have dinner with you but you really don't need too. I'm just happy to help!" he smiled as he blushed and shook her hand. "Nonsense, I absolutely want to make you dinner. Here's my address and phone number. Call me later and we'll set something up. Now, I've got to get Dillon home for his nap! It was really great to meet you Tony!" She smiled as she wrote her address and number down for him. "Take care and be safe! Dillon, be a little more careful buddy!" He smiled as they went their separate ways.
