Great Success

Douglas was sitting in his chair, watching football when Rachel and Mira came in. Mira had a perpetual blush around him now, as if there was a secret that she held that he wasn't privy to.

"We have good news, Douglas," Mira said, smiling despite herself.

"It was successful!" Rachel interjected. "We're pregnant!"

It was a time to celebrate, to be sure. But looking at Mira's face, Douglas realized that was not the secret. There was something else she was hiding.
