Sam Manson, bootlegger escapee and friend of Starfire

In walked a girl of a somewhat short stature wearing a modest black and purple dress with leggings and long gloves. A simple brimmed hat had a veil that covered the girl’s face and neck. All in all, her outfit left no skin exposed beyond the sheer fabric. She was also carrying a box the approximate size of a small dog.

As soon as she left the direct sunlight, she took off the hat allowing you to recognize her as a Sam Manson and to see why she was dressed as she was. Her little fangs and pale complexion meant that she either changed her style or she had turned into a vampire.

As you didn't recognize her nor did you see her enter with any one, you decided to approach her.

“Hello there,” you greet her. She was startled and nearly dropped her gift box. You catch it and help her fix her grip on it. “Sorry about that, didn’t mean to startle ya.”

“Didn’t think you would notice me, thought you *lovely* prime worlders would have more important people to talk to,” she snarked a bit once she steadied herself.

“Yeah well, I think I would pay attention to such a lovely woman,” you smirked at her, causing her to glower. From what you remembered from Starfire’s story, this Sam Manson was given a faulty illegal mod that made her unable to say anything negative about prime worlders or at least her owners.

“Right, flirt with another woman at your own wedding, classy j–*sir*,” Sam Manson winced as her mouth jerked as the autocorrect triggered violently. You nodded, agreeing with her point. You start to try to make some conversation when Sam shoves the gift into your chest, knocking the wind out of you.

“Please don’t open it until after the wedding and don’t shake it too much, it's delicate,” Sam said before she put her hat and veil back on before rushing to the door.

“Hey wait, any friend of Starfire is invited to stay for the ceremony and reception,” you say as she disappears. You look at the Toad that had approached to take the gift, “Can you go check on her instead? I’ll get Toad to take it instead.” He nodded before running off on his stubby little legs. You waved down a Toad handing out pre-wedding wine and took his tray as he took the gift box over to the reception area.

You were about to sip on a glass of wine when someone came up behind you and clasped your shoulder with their massive hand causing you to lose your grip on the glass. Giving the spilled wine a look, you turn your head to see a tall muscular Tamaranean male in polished armor.

“Hey King And’r,” You say as Jess, one of the Pokemon Trainer Maids, came by with a Monferno and a broom to clean up the glass.

“HA! I told you to call me My!” King Myand’r, father of Starfire, proclaimed cheerfully. He then shoved a tiny Tamarean **** cup into your hand. Tiny for a Tamarean cup, the thing was nearly as big as Starfire’s boobs. “It’s your wedding day! You shouldn’t be drinking watered down juice, you need to be drinking a proper Tamarean drink!” You look at the neon blue liquid.

“You sure? I think I’m going to wait for the reception,” you say as you try to hand the heavy cup back to him. He just pushes it back at you.

“Drink, after all you are going to be the father of my daughter’s children,” Myand’r says with a dark tone as he raises the cup and clinks it with his own cup of similar ****. “Be merry and drink up so we may complete this wedding the right way.” He grins at you as you lift up the cup and start drinking heavily.

(POV Change)

All the guests were in their seats in front of the altar where James, Aelita, and Starfire were standing around each other with a priest behind a podium. Behind James were his friend Larry, his brother Jamie Gardner, Oliver Gardner, and Gavin Gardner, all of them in suits. Aelita was standing in a beautiful, white, A-line-style wedding dress with pink roses stitched in a swooping pattern.

Aelita’s bridesmaids including a half smiling Yumi Ishigama from Code Lyoko who you apparently authorized Aelita to buy a long time ago but she was only recently picked up by your mom from the same kennel as where Starfire was. With Yumi, were Katara, Ahsoka, Kate, and a DeeDee, all wearing pink bridesmaids outfits.

Starfire was wearing the white wedding dress from that one Teen Titans episode but with orange flowers. Behind her were her own set of bridesmaids including Gaige, Diana, surprisingly Shampoo, Marinette, and James’ sister Poppy.

Just off to the side of everyone, little Pixel the Kirlia had on a short dress and was cheerfully clapping her hands while releasing flower petals from her basket. The little flower girl was quietly squealing as James continued to speak his vows… as best he could.

“Those are some of the best drunken wedding vows I’ve heard,” Princess Daisy Gardner says as she rubs a tear out of her eye. “And I remember your vows to Samus.”

“I remember the recording,” Charles said before turning to the large Tamaranean sitting next to him. Myand’r and Luand'r were on Charles’ side (with Walt between them) while Aelita’s parents (Waldo Franz Schaefer and Anthea Schaefer) were seated on Daisy's side. “Was that enough recompense for that ritual you mentioned?”

Myand’r grunted and nodded. “He was able to drink the whole mug and was still able to walk onto the altar and speak his feelings of truth and love nearly completely eloquently.” Walt hides half of a pill in his pocket and winks at Charles. “I’m satisfied that he passed the Lover’s Trial. We will not have to go to war with the Gardner family. We just need to see how he handles the Lover’s ****.”

“I still can’t believe you brought up that silly tradition,” Luand'r shook her head. “Starfire was in the throes of love with him and from the photos she shared, they were a bonded pair for a long time.”

“He courted our daughter without permission and put a little warrior into her, if he wasn’t in love with her and vice versa, on Tamaran we would’ve destroyed his holdings and reduced his family to dust,” Myand’r defended himself.

“Hush now, he’s wrapping up.” They turned their attention to the altar where James was finishing.

“...To the moon and the stars and all the way back.” The guest cheered as James finished his vows.

“Should anyone present know of any reason that this couple should not be joined in holy matrimony, speak now or forever hold your peace,” the priest asked the massive crowd of guests. Looking around for a moment, the priest was about to move on when the crowd gasped as Franz Schaefer (Aelita’s dad) stood up only to be immediately knocked out by his wife and pulled back into his seat.

“Moving on…I now pronounce you husband, wife, and wife. You may kiss the brides,” the priest said. James, Aelita, and Starfire came together and exchanged kisses and flower petals rained down from the roof and the guests cheered and clapped for them.
