An unexpected save.

After creating clones to go back to their tasks, Ethan went back to the world of Idols.

It's been a few days so he wondered what he missed, checking his messages, there was some messages from Ruby and Ai.

Ruby's was asking if he was okay and to text her back, and Ai... Wow he didn't realize that she was so slutty...

"Missing you baby, please text back, I love you~" There were heart emojis in the end, he felt his cheeks burn as he responded that he was fine and was just resting and would be back in a bit and put his phone away, it started to rain as he walked through the streets of Tokyo.

Sighing, he simply continued walking, he was immune to the common cold so he was fine.

Making his way to the bridge he spotted someone standing on the edge... Wait was that Akane?

Ethan expanded his senses and didn't find Aqua... Oh crap.

Ethan rushed forward, just in time to grab her and pull her back.

"Let me go!" Akane cried as she struggled, Ethan held her tightly.

"Please just calm down." Ethan muttered, Akane slowly stopped.

"K-Kenway?" She looked up at him, Ethan gave a small smile.

"Wanna get out of the rain?" Ethan asked.

Ethan was able to find the closest hotel and took her there.

Ethan remembered the whole thing with Akane's spiral, but wasn't Aqua supposed to be here?

After a quick text, he realized that Aqua was spending a lot of time with Ai.

So his actions had consequences... Figured.

He paid for a room with two beds and made sure it was a luxury suite.

Ethan opened the door to the hotel room and let Akane inside, she looked miserable.

"Umm do you want something to eat?" He asked her as he took the menu of the hotel from the side table.

"No..." Akane mumbled as she looked out the window.

Ethan looked over. "You should go shower, you don't want to catch a cold, there should be a bathrobe in the bathroom." Ethan walked over and put a hand on her shoulder.

From the windows reflection, he could see her puffy red eyes, he pulled her away from the window and guided her to the bathroom.

Once she was inside and he heard the shower running, he ordered some food.

Ethan opened the closet and took out the one robe there was. He cursed a bit.

Taking it to the bathroom door, he opened it a bit and left it on the counter, he caught sight of Akane's bare back from the mirror before closing the door.

Ethan took off his jacket and hung it by the chair and took off his shoes and socks, using some chakra, he heated up his body to dry his shirt and underwear, sitting on the bed he took out his phone and texted Aqua to tell him about Akane and that he was with her in a hotel until the storm passed.

He got a response. "Okay, I'll let the others know."

This was a bit of a mess...

The bathroom door opened and Akane stepped out in the bathrobe. She looked better at least...

"... Why?" She asked looking at him.

"Because it was the right thing to do." Ethan responded immediately and laid on his bed.

Akane sat on the other bed and gripped the robe. "I can't do this anymore..."

Ethan looked over and sat up. "The things people say about you is complete bull, you're an amazing actress." Ethan told her.

"But all of them are saying those awful things! Even supporters..." Akane teared up.

"Well they're looking from the outside in, they don't see the inside, they think that there won't be consequences to their words." Ethan got up and walked over to her bed, sitting next to her and pulling her into an embrace.

Akane couldn't help but relax against his chest. "I shouldn't... Let those comments bother me..."

"You're human like the rest of them, if they hate you, fuck them." Ethan brushed her hair. "You just need to be the best you can be."

"But it's not enough..." Akane couldn't believe she was pouring her heart out to this... Stranger... Sure Aqua knew Ethan but besides that they barely interacted.

"You think that, but you just need to push yourself a bit harder, don't worry, we'll set those people straight and show them that there are consequences." Ethan pulled away. "That I promise." Ethan smiled.

Akane stared at him, her eyes widening. "Why... Why are you helping me?" She whispered. "We barely know each other..."

"Maybe so, but that doesn't mean I shouldn't offer my hand in help." He responded kindly.

Akane didn't know what it was, if it was because he saved her and promised to help her or maybe she just wanted some positive affection, but she pressed her lips against his.

Ethan's eyes went wide but he kissed her back, holding her close.
