Rita Skeeter was a "journalist" in the loosest sense of the word. She wrote poison pen articles where she weaved rumor, innuendo, and maybe some facts into her stories.

Harry, Hermoine, and Ron were reading the latest Rita piece. "I can't believe they let this...this...hack write this drivel!" said Hermoine. "She just slandered Luna and her Dad because of their little paper."

"She's just a gossip writing wench," said Ron.

"Still, people read this garbage!" fumed Hermoine. "it's just salacious gossip!"

"Maybe we can do something to make Rita the subject of scandal and not the one reporting on it," said Harry with a mischievous grin.

The three huddled to come up with a plan.
