A relieved Ram

As James enters, someone comes out of the living room and looks at the door. "Master, you're back!" Ram says, beaming with joy, and runs to James. He takes Ram in his arms and hugs her.

After he releases the hug Ram's face is almost as pink as her hair. "Sorry it took me longer and I slept at Reginald's. I hope you weren't worried." "N-no Master... just..." tries Ram to say, but she is too shy.

"She missed you" another voice says. Ikumi stands in the entrance to the living room and looks at Ram and James. "Ikumiii" says Ram in a high pitched voice. "Did you miss me?" asks James the maiden in front of him. "Yes..." replies Ram softly. James leans over and gives her a kiss on the cheek. "I'm sorry. I'll make it up to you tonight for that, yes?" he whispers in her ear.

Ram takes a step back. Without saying anything else she quickly walks up the stairs and disappears. James looks after her before turning to Ikumi. "So how was it without me? Did everything go well?"

Ikumi approaches James a little. "Yeah so far everything has been good. Ram and Missandei cleaned, I cooked and watched TV, and Hermione holed up in the library as usual." "And what about Rosalina?" asks James.

"She's been in her room a lot. Talked to her a bit after dinner, though. I think she needs some time before she really settles in." James nods. "Okay I can understand that. Where's everyone else right now?"

"Hermione is reading as usual. Rosalina and Missandei are probably talking about something in Rosalina's room. No idea what about" Ikumi replies. "Well at least Rosalina seems to get along well with everyone." "Oh she does" Ikumi agrees. "She even calmed Ram down a bit yesterday when she missed you."

James smiles. "Once a mother always a mother" he then says. "OK thanks Ikumi. You're welcome to watch TV again." Ikumi smiles. "You know me" she says sweetly and disappears into the living room with her hips swaying.

After James stops looking at Ikumi's ass, he makes his way to his bedroom. Once there, he sits down at the desk and opens the laptop. Just as he is about to search for something on YouTube, he sees a notification. Somewhat confused, he clicks on it.

Immediately, the house's surveillance program opens. He logs in and sees all the cameras in the house. There he sees, as Ikumi has already told him, that Hermione is sitting in the library and Rosalina and Missandei are talking in Rosalina's room.

Rosalina has her new star stuffed animal in her arms and looks happy. Then, when James takes his eyes off Rosalina and Missandei, he sees that an indicator is flashing. He clicks on it and a recording is displayed.

According to the time stamp, the recording is from last night. At a little after 3 o'clock, Hermione appears in the living room. She adjusts something on TV and watches several news reports. After watching the news about the WARM protests, she turns the TV back off and heads toward the hallway.

I don't think the others know about it, James reflects. Otherwise Ram or Ikumi would have toled me about it. So she has to keep it a secret, but why? Does she want to escape?
