Chapter 38 by 280tcove 280tcove

What happens at lunch today?

A Double Feature

Violet and I make our way over to the cafeteria to meet with Bianca. As expected, the two of us chat about various topics as we walk, although Violet continues to bring up ideas related to humiliating Shannon or various things I should try with the other women I've used the remote on. While a lot of the ideas are interesting, it's still a bit too much for me to fully take in. I'll keep a few of her more notable suggestions in my back pocket, but otherwise, I just let her talk.

As we enter the Student Center, we scan the room to find no sign of Bianca. Not a huge surprise. Like I said, it was a miracle she showed up early last Wednesday. We know she'll get here at some point, it's just a question of how long we'll have to wait. After some deliberation, we decide to find a place to sit and wait for her. As we start walking around, looking for a couple of open seats, Violet gives me one of her looks: the look she gets when she comes up with some kind of scheme.

"Hey, I just thought of something. Would you consider-" she starts.

Before Violet can finish asking her question, she's interrupted by someone pushing between us. The push causes me to stumble backwards, while Violet ends up losing her balance and falling flat on her ass.

"Hey! Excuse you!" Violet yells in frustration. Her harsh tone causes the woman who bumped into us to turn around.

One look at this girl is all I need to tell that she's a stuck-up brat. The tight dress, the rose-tinted sunglasses, the cocky stance. It all screams egotistical. She also has the most piercing blue eyes I think I've ever seen. They don't sparkle or shine, instead cutting through whatever they look at. I feel like she would freeze my very soul if I stared into those ice-cold orbs for too long. I will admit that she's pretty attractive, with a nice hourglass curve and striking blonde hair, but that only adds more evidence in favor of her being a jerk. It's pretty rare that you meet an obnoxious popular girl who isn't hot.

"Excuse me for what?" The woman asks with some clear attitude.

"Are you serious? You literally knocked me on my ass!" Violet answers.

"So what? You were in my way. It's not my fault that you're too fat to keep your balance."

Did this girl seriously just call Violet fat? Violet's skinnier than she is! Looks like I had this girl's personality pegged. What a bitch.

Violet is furious, which is a pretty rare emotion for her. But I know Violet. She's not the kind of person to make a scene in public, so she just seethes quietly. The woman doesn't say another word, instead turning around and flipping her hair before walking off. As she does, Violet glances at me. It doesn't take a genius to know what she wants me to do. As tempted as I am to agree and avenge my best friend, when I look around, I see the commotion ended up drawing a decent amount of attention. Definitely too much attention to risk pulling out the remote in front of this many people. I look back at Violet and shake my head. As upset as she is, she doesn't push it any further.

I'm about to help Violet up, when another person rushes between us. However, this one stops in front of Violet and reaches out her hand.

"Oh my goodness! I am so sorry about her! My sister can be so rude sometimes," this new woman says.

"It's fine. I'm alright. Thank you," Violet says before grabbing the woman's hand. She quickly pulls Violet back on her feet and then backs up slightly to look at both of us.

Huh. This is the sister of that other girl? Really? The two have totally different energies. While that other girl just exuded bitchiness, this one seems much more warm and inviting. Her clothing style is also much more relaxed, opting for a tank top and yoga pants instead of a dress. Her eyes are a darker brown, her hair is cut a decent amount shorter (although I guess that doesn't have anything to do with genetics), and she's overall a bit taller and more slender. Rather than being overtly sexy, she gives off much more of a cute vibe to me. The best way I can describe it is that her sister looks like the girl you would want to have a one-night stand with, while she looks like the girl you would want to introduce to your family.

"That's seriously your sister?" I ask. I don't know why I'm that surprised. Michelle and Julia aren't exactly that similar either. Although even Michelle knows how to behave herself in public.

"I know. You wouldn't believe the amount of trouble I've gotten in because of her. People back home always said stuff like 'Here come the Cunningham twins. Probably up to no good again.' It feels like I always get roped into whatever trouble she causes, even if I have nothing to do with it. And with her joining that sorority... ugh! Don't even get me started..." the girl explains.

So they're twins? Wouldn't have guessed that, but now that I'm thinking about it, I suppose I can see it. Obviously they're not identical, but there is a resemblance, even if it's slight. Something tells me she did her best to look different from her sister in the hopes of distancing herself from her sister's reputation. Also, I noticed that mention of a sorority. I should have known. That girl definitely seemed like the type. I'm sure that doesn't help her vain, bratty attitude either.

"Don't worry about it. You seem way nicer to me!" Violet remarks.

"Thanks!" She exclaims with a smile. "Anyway, I should probably catch up with her before something else goes wrong. Bye!"

And with that, the second of the Cunningham twins disappears down the hall. That was a lot of stuff that happened in a very short amount of time. Violet and I take a moment to catch our breaths before finally finding a place to sit. Once we do though, Violet gives me yet another look.

"So... twins, huh? Sounds like the potential for some kinky fun to me."

"Keep it in your pants, V. Besides, the second one was nice. You don't really want to mess with her, do you?" I ask.

"No, I guess you're right. But we need to use the remote on that first one for sure," Violet responds.

"Oh, absolutely."

"Hey, what are you guys talking about?" We heard from an approaching figure.

The two of us turn to see Bianca standing in front of us. Today, Bianca is wearing an old hoodie and some shorts that don't even slightly go together, which I'm like 90% sure she's wearing because she doesn't have any other clean laundry. Also, I guess that whole wearing makeup thing didn't last long, as she doesn't have any on today.

"Oh, nothing important," Violet tells Bianca.

Bianca shrugs, seemingly uninterested to know more details. Luckily for us, Bianca isn't nearly as nosy as Julia. I wouldn't want to start something like that again. Now that we're all here, we head into the cafeteria, eager to finally get something to eat.

What do you three discuss while eating?
