What game to play?
Truth or dare
Elm, Zelda, Hinata, and Vanessa sat around the coffee table in the living room. Hinata was sitting to the very right of Elm on the couch keeping that arm's length between them. To the left of Elm was Zelda sitting upright in a chair. To the far right was Vanessa laying in another chair; her legs and head running off the arms of the chair. Everyone besides Hinata was staring at Elm as he quickly flicked through his phone. He didn't have a game in mind and he was internally panicking. He had never had so many eyes on him since high school.
"So what are we playing," Zelda asked with a bored look. Elm looked at her about to say he didn't have one, but then a simple idea popped into his head. One of the most straightforward games you could play. Why didn't he think of it sooner?
"Truth or Dare," he replied trying to sound like this was his plan all along. "I was just looking up some ideas if you need them."
"Nice choice," Vanessa told him giving him another smile. She had gotten really smiley with the type that suggested she knew something he didn't. "Who's going first?" They all looked around at each other for a second.
"I dragged you all here to play the game in the first place so I'll go first. Then clockwise," Elm proposed. All the others nodded in agreement. "Alright then, I guess Truth." He smiled knowing he was starting off soft. Then again almost everyone picked Truth first. The girls started to talk among each other and then nodded in agreement.
"Who do you like the most out of us," Zelda asked him speaking for the rest of them. His mind went blank for a second. He never really thought of that. He gave each of the girls a once over not sure.
"Honestly you're all great. I can't really say one is better than the other," he told them coming to an acceptable compromise in his mind.
"Bullshit," Vanessa called out crossing her arms. "You got to like one of us better than the rest. There is always a favorite." Elm bit his lower lip, that was true.
"Ok, right now I will say it is Zelda, but that is just because we have had the most time together," Elm admitted. Zelda smiled at the first part but it fell off as he came onto the second part. Elm gave her an apologetic look seeing this but she just shook her head.
"I guess it's my turn then," Zelda piped up. "I think I'll go with Truth too." Vanessa, Hinata, and Elm leaned together and discussed some options about what to do. Well more like Vanessa and Elm as Hinata just interjected sporadically with a slight pip. They tried to come up with something she would keep hidden. Mabey something about food? Perhaps training or something broader. But it was kind of decided when they started a slight argument about what they were about to ask.
"Zelda," Elm began speaking for the group. "Did you ever like Link in a more than platonic relationship?" Elm and Vanessa leaned forwards eager for the answer.
"Well, um maybe," Zelda told them a bit flustered and embarrassed. "It was like for a week though. I never said anything about it, there was too much to worry about. Plus he was literally more or less my knight in shining armor, so of course I would fall for that. But again I quickly grew out of it." Vanessa pumped her fist and Elm sighed in defeat.
"Alright, alright. My turn then," Vanessa asked as if it were a question worth asking. "I'll go for Dare." Well wasn't she just a risk taker Elm thought to himself. Again the others gathered to discuss what to give her. It took a while but they reached a conclusion.
"How about you," Zelda started the Dare circling her finger in the air. "Duel me." Vanessa raised an eyebrow at the demand but nodded. Zelda said she could take her on, she had training from Link after all. Elm was skeptical about either of their abilities in a straight-up fight which was what prompted this.
Both of them got up and faced each other. Zelda leaned forwards in an awkward-looking position thinking about how her body was positioned and Vanessa stood there with her arms crossed.
Elm meanwhile had to do something in the controls of the app to allow mild **** for at least this, he would change it back later so that they couldn't hurt each other though. Considering the cults of personality he already had it was necessary. Elm then gave them the thumbs up to go ahead.
Zelda still seemed confident this would go her way though and ran towards Vanessa. Vanessa then grinned to herself and held out a hand. When it made contact with something from Zelda's body Vanessa stepped to the side and pushed it forward sending Zelda hurdling to the ground. It was over within a second. Standing over her, Vanessa put a foot on Zelda's back and looked a bit disappointed.
"I thought you would at least put up more of a fight," Vanessa said as if it were a truly sad thing in the world. She looked over to the stunned Hinata and not-so-stunned Elm. "Your turn Hinata."
"I'll pick Dare," Hinata said a bit unsure about what to think. Once more the group regrouped and talked about what they wanted her to do. Zelda was a bit miffed in the conversation, getting beaten by someone who shouldn't have known anything about combat as Elm said. Well, Vanessa shouldn't. The conversation turned around to the first time Elm and Zelda truly meet Hinata. Soon everyone nodded in agreement.
"We dare you to jump backward off of the couch like you did the first time we met," Elm told Hinata. She gave him an unsure about that. "Relax we'll be behind to catch you. It's just going to be a more complicated trust fall." Hinata still seemed unsure about doing this but looking at the others she relented to her fate.
Hinata readied herself to jump back as both Elm and Zelda went around to the back of the couch. They held their arms out ready to catch her as she fell to the ground. They expected her to catch the back of the couch like before with a normal jump. The exact opposite happened.
Everyone looked up in awe as she zipped straight up into the roof, hit her head on it, and crashed back down to earth with a yelp of pain. Quickly everyone ran over to her laying on the floor. Elm got to her side first tears forming in her eyes as she held her side and took quick sharp breaths. Zelda came sliding in second with her hand glowing yellow and softly put it on Hinata's side. Then Vanessa came over and stood over them all.
Well, this hadn't gone to plan Elm thought to himself looking at Hinata. How did she manage to jump that high? Was she going to live? Where was the nearest hospital? Slowly over the course of a minute, her face lightened up and her breathing came steady again. After a few more moments she seemed fine. It was like a miracle!
"Do you have medical ninjutsu," Hinata asked sitting up on the floor and looking at Zelda.
"I don't know," Zelda responded looking at her hand, its glow slowly fading away. "I didn't even know I could heal somebody. Are you alright?" Hinata nodded getting up back on her feet.
"Well, how about we don't do anything dangerous anymore," Elm told everyone to which they all nodded. He noted that Vanessa seemed **** about the nod.
So how good does round 2 go?
