The wedding

The day arrives, the palace is full of people of all kinds, members of higher society are present from across Naboo, like Queen Neeyutnee herself. You and Ranvi will be sitting in the first raw, while HK was given a standing place next to the door. He hates this stuff anyway, he wasn't content with the necessity of his participation. Ranvi clearly isn't having the time of her life, but she has been convinced by Drek, that this is only a mere formality and nothing will have changed afterwards. Even Rex was invited as he had many missions alongside Padmé. The Jedi council couldn't participate in person, they will be present as holograms, only Obi-Wan could come in person, alongside Anakin and Ahsoka. Anakin isn't quite happy about the ceremony and he is terrible at hiding it. He has countless little whispers with Padmé in seclusion, trying to convince her to cancel the whole thing, but his efforts are in vain. To cool his head off a bit he takes a drink at the bar, where Kal has a little chat with him to calm him down. When Anakin isn't paying attention, Kal sneaks something in his drink. Anakin drinks the whole glass unknowingly, while Kal gives a small grin. After Anakin goes back to take his seat next to Ranvi, Kal makes a secret holocall from one of the secluded rooms.

Kal: Forgive me my lord for being late with this call, but I had many things to be arranged!

Sidious: As long as all goes according to the plan, all will be well. Have you done what you had to?

Kal: Yes my lord, all has been prepared!

Sidious: Good. This day will be long remembered in the history of Naboo and the galaxy! As promised, once the elite of the planet has been wiped off, I will use my influence and change the constitution of the planet. Naboo will no longer be ruled by a weak elected queen for a few years, but a strong willed king, with a hereditary title! The Modme family will earn its rightful place in the intergalactic politics as the head of Naboo.

Kal: Thank you my lord! I will be worthy of your trust, I promise! Finally, the weak republic will be rebuilt from within and have a more concentrated and wiser rule over it!

Sidious: Have you ensured the survival of Skywalker and yourself?

Kal: Yes, all has been perfectly arranged!

Sidious: Excellent. As foretold, my assassin, Ventress has been sent to the city, she will bring Skywalker to me once you are done. Proceed cautiously. Nothing is allowed to hinder our plan, or you are going to pay a heavy price, Modme!

Kal: Of course my lord, you can count on my!

Kal (to himself after ending the call): If only Drek could see things as I can! But in time, he will learn the harsh ways of politics and see, that I have been doing all to ensure the well being of the family! Once the galaxy is reforged, he will leave this Jedi nonsense behind and take his rightful place as my heir and future king of Naboo! I hope you haven't been spending your days in the Jedi order for nothing son! I know you are able to survive this without my interference. Don't you dare to die on me today!

When the ceremony begins, everybody is at their respective places and everything goes as they should be, nothing is out of order. Drek and Padmé are led to an altar and the priest leads a normal ceremony. When it comes to the part where Drek and Padmé have to say yes, they both hesitate before saying anything to each other. They stare at the eyes of the other, before both reluctantly say the word "yes", while thinking of their respective loved ones, Ranvi and Anakin. With the words said out loud, they are officially considered married. At the moment when they were leaning towards each other for a kiss, the ventilation system at the top of the room begins to crack and sends in a huge amount of green gas. Everybody panics, the guests try to exit the room at mass, but the doors and windows have been made impenetrable due to the event and it would require a security code to open it, but Kal is too far from the door as he was sitting next to the altar. The room fills with the thick green gas in less than half a minute and those who breath it in pass out instantly. You react quickly and use the ventilation system of your armour to keep the gas out, while Ranvi and Drek use **** shield to save themselves. As you have a spare one, you use it on Padmé to keep her safe. Momentarily, every guest inside passes out and their life signs are fading. Only Anakin and Rex remain untouched as he too has a ventilation system in his armour. As for Anakin, he has ni idea why the gas didn't have an affect on him. As you are trying to figure a way out of the secure room while the holograms of the council watch stunned, Kal crawls on the floor, shouting at Anakin.

Kal (visibly unwell, while pointing at Anakin): You...! It's all your doing...! You have poisoned everybody here...!

Anakin: What?! How could I have...?!

Kal: You are the only one that survived without having anything to protect you...!

Padmé: You too survived old man!

Kal: Drek, you could testify that I have been training my body against several types of poisons just exactly for such a case...! Like every good noblemen does...!

Drek: It is true, he truly takes small dosages of poison regularly to train his body against them... Never thought you would need it one day!

Kal: Everybody in here is protected by either an armour or the ****, expect for him...! He is the one behind it...! Arrest him...!

Anakin: This is ridiculous! Why would I sabotage the marriage of Padmé and Drek...?

Padmé (looking at Anakin with doubts in her eyes): Anakin... did you really...?

Anakin: No, I swear I didn't do anything! This is a deception! I'm innocent!

Yoda (as a hologram): Great caution we must take with this... astromech, could you check the antidote level of Skywalker's blood?

R2D2 rolls next to him and stings him with a small needle to take a blood sample. He shows the high concentration of antidote in his blood.

Anakin (outraged): What?! NO! NO! This is all wrong! I haven't done anything, I swear on my life, I am innocent! Padmé, you have to believe me!

Padmé (in tears): I... I don't know whom to believe anymore...!

Windu (as a hologram): Rex, take Skywalker into custody for further questioning.

Rex (hesitantly): Y... Yes, General Windu!

Anakin (**** pushing Rex away and running towards the main door): NO! Stay away! I am not a murderer! I'll prove my innocence!

Windu: Lana, stop him! He is going to escape!

You, Drek and Ranvi attempt to stop him but he is too fast for you.

HK69: Finally, I get to be shooting at Jedi again! It has been ages! Take this, Jedi!

Anakin gets to the door, HK is firing at him, but all the shots are deflected and he tosses HK aside with the ****.

HK69: I hate so much when they are doing this...!

Anakin slices the panel with his lightsaber to open it and makes a run for it. The poison is spreading out and you three use the **** to contain it.

Drek: Hurry, Rex, Padmé, grab fater and leave the room so that I can seal it back with the poison inside!

They life Kal up and begin to get out of the room while Rex is making a call to Cody, who is securing he perimeter outside of the palace with s quad of clones.

Cody (on the comlink): Rex, what the Mustafar is going on in there?!

Rex: You might won't believe me Cody, but... General Skywalker must be forbidden from leaving the area! Stun him on sight, he is out of control! Watch out for yourselves! The wedding was used to mass **** the guests, he seems to be the main suspect! Stop him at any cost!

Cody: What?! Oh blast it... Alright, we'll stop the general, he won't be getting through here!

Cody (to his squad): You heard him boys, we have a quite heavy one coming our way! Take positions and set your blasters to stun! I know we weren't made for defeating Jedi, but here we are, having to hunt General Skywalker!

Rex and the others make it out and Drek uses his code to seal the room back. The palace is put on alert but that does little against Anakin. He cuts his way through the guards of the palace and quickly makes his way to the main entrance of it. When he reaches the main door he spots Cody and his clones behind cover and aiming their blasters at him.

Cody: Al right general, that is far enough! We don't want to hurt you, so why don't you just lay down your lightsaber and try to be civil about this? I am sure there is a reasonable explanation to all of this! Don't make your situation worse!

Anakin (charging towards Cody): You wouldn't believe me, none of you does! I am no murderer! But I can't trust any of you any more!

Cody: Blast it, stun him men!

The clones begin firing stun shots at Anakin from multiple directions, who is pinned down at the incoming fire. His lightsaber can't even deflect the stun shots, so he has no way of reducing the number of clones firing at him. The rapid fire continues until he tires out and makes a mistake, leaving a stun shot hit his right mechno arm, making it malfunctioning. At this news, Cody signals his men to stop the barrage and he tries to convince Anakin once more to surrender peacefully. He refuses and seems to continue the fight with one hand. As Cody is preparing to signal his men to restart the firing, Ventress arrives and **** chokes multiple clones, while slaying others from behind.

Anakin: Venress...?!

Ventress: Now Skywalker, make a run for it, or remain where you are and be arrested for something you haven't done!

Anakin: I don't trust you though! But I won't pass this opportunity!

Anakin runs away while Ventress keeps slaying more clones before she too escapes.

Cody (calling Rex): Damn it, they both got away! Rex! Ventress helped General Skywalker, we must immediately seal the city and put every patrol on high alert!

Rex: Roger that, commander! Proceed, I'll be there in a moment!

Padmé (crying): I can't believe Anakin would have done such a horrible thing! He would never...! I know him, he isn't like that...!

Lana: Don't worry Padmé, it'll all right, we will figure this out!

Kal: Sometimes those closes to us do the most unthinkable... But never with ill intent!

Drek: That's some deep ancient wisdom father, but it would hardly help those hundreds of dead guests inside!

Kal: We won't leave their memory to fade, every single one of them will be remembered!

Ranvi: They might still be saved, don't bury them already!

Kal: You saw what happened in there, there is no hope for them!

Ranvi: Never give up the hope!

Later that day a quarantine medical squad takes charge of the area, they enter the room and take everybody out for medical examination. After the results were made the medical droid announces what he knows.

Kal: Tell us fair and square! Are they all dead?

Ranvi: Please, tell me there is still hope for them!

Medical droid: The poison in their body seems to have spread to every cell of their body in an outstanding speed. Any organ touched by the poison stopped functioning and thus, they have entered a kind of coma state. Their bodies aren't ageing or reaction to anything from the outside.

Kal (shocked): So they aren't dead...?!

Medical droid: Not yet, though it seems their bodies can't keep up the currant state for long. If we don't give them an antidote, they have maximum one week, before they finally pass away.

Kal (thinking): Damn, I must have miscalculated the dosage! This cannot be, they must not survive this, I'll never get a similar chance ever again!

Padmé (looking at the lifeless bodies of the queen, Obi-Wan and Ahsoka as they are laying next to each other): It means we have one week to save them! Why haven't you given them the antidote yet?! There must be a way to save them, so get to it right away!

Medical droid: It seems no similar antidote has been produced by any Republic aligned laboratory yet. We have no intel on what to do against it. I am sorry.

Kal (relieved): No problem, I'm sure you have done your best, I'll send your laboratory a substantial gift for your swift action of coming here!

Medical droid: Thank you sir, even though financial gratitude is not necessary.

Kal (putting his hand on the droids shoulders): Nonsense, come, let's talk about the details!

The next day Rex returns. The hunt for Anakin has been fruitless so far, he could simply disappear from sight without a trace!

Padmé: Any news about Anakin...?

Rex: Sorry Padmé, nothing to speak of yet... However, I do have good news!

Lana: Come on, out with it Rex!

Rex (showing a holomap or Naboo): Our researchers have managed to identify the possible origin of the poison! There are two locations in the wilderness where they have found similar substances as this poison via the planet wide bioscan. One is in the mountains, the other is at this location, this one was once used by a mad scientist working for the Separatists to create a deadlier version of the infamous blue virus! Me and Padmé have very bad experiences with that....

Padmé nods silently.

Rex: As we have sealed off the planet completely to prevent the General from leaving by any means and all the clones are hunting him day and night, we don't have any men to spare! Though, you could go and investigate those places and see if something useful is in one of the two places! Maybe the Seps are behind it, be extremely careful!

You devise a plan, the 5 of you must be divided equally. You and Drek will visit the lab in the mountains, while Padmé, Ranvi and HK will check the old blue virus lab. Padmé has been in there, she knows the way. Once all is prepared, you set out to your respective locations. When you leave the palace, Kal makes a secret call again.

Kal (on comlink as he is watching from a window from behind a curtain): Double the security, you should be expecting company soon!
