Work!

Jennifer’s mind reached out for all the things that she could have just been thinking about. It was important, something she needed to do in order to avoid something really awful happening to her. Yet despite how important this seemed to be, Jennifer could not for the life of her remember what it was.

Jennifer nearly gave up and let the train of thought go but some part deep inside screamed at her, she needed to remember this, it was incredibly important and she could not let it go.

“What is it?” Jennifer ran a hand through her curly hair.

It was important.

She needed to do it.

If she didn't do it, something bad would happen to her.

Suddenly Jennifer remembered what it was and that screaming part of her started cheering.

“Work!” Jennifer said triumphantly and the cheering went back to screaming yet Jennifer ignored that, she had her answer and she wasn't going to doubt it. Plus it all made sense, work was important since it made her money and not having money was bad so she needed to go to work.

Jennifer went to her closet and quickly got dressed, putting on underwear without seeing what exactly they were. Then she put on a nice black business suit.

“Looking good,” Jennifer complimented herself.

Without another word, Jennifer collected her briefcase and car keys and went out the door.
