Do you go with her?
Begrudgingly
You didn’t want to have to act all buddy buddy with Brian after all that had happened between you guys, but you also didn’t want Katie to be alone with him. You agreed to walk over and welcome Brian to the neighborhood with Katie. Even if you didn’t do this, he’d probably recognize you or something sooner or later. Better to get it over with. Katie knocked on Brian’s door and after a few moments, Brian answered the door. His eyes immediately fell on your wife. “Oh, hey there. To what do I owe the pleasure?” He asked, letting his eyes run down her figure as Katie offered the basket. “We’re your new neighbors! We lived just down the street!” She said, and with that Brian finally looked over at you. There was a glimmer of recognition, and you pretended to go through the same motion. He pointed at you and said “Hey wait a minute… I know you from somewhere…” he said as you nodded and said “Yeah, I think you’re right. Can’t quite place it though.” You lied, hoping he’d forget. Then he snapped his fingers. “Wait, you’re from my high school class? It was, uh- David right? No- Dylan! Dorky little Dylan! Holy shit.” He said, seeming amazed by the coincidence as Katie looked between you with surprise.
