The Nighthowler Case

It was all over the news. "Nighthowler causes yet another **** in a night club!" "Nighthowler: What is it really?" Nighthowler, nighthowler, nighthowler. A **** which heightened breeding instinct and now apparently also was associated with causing feral behavior as all of the instincts went up with it.

You are Judy Hopps, a just recently hired cop, and the first bunny one. And currently, you are standing outside a nightclub, gulping slightly. You had a lead, a very small one. Apparently, someone heard from someone who heard from a surprisingly mild mannered Mr. Otterton that this was the spot to buy such a substance. You had recently saved him from a confrontation with an encounter with a black panther so he figured he owed you that kind of information.

You look down at your outfit in nervousness and a slight bit of disgust. It hardly left anything to the imagination yet it was "fittingly both parts sexy and cute" the person at the shop had told you. You resented that word, cute. As did all the smaller animals, but that never stopped people from saying it.

You had decided there was a rather simple way to solve this case after being told by your buffalo of a boss to stop snooping: Get hired here.

The building was hardly remarkable. It had an entrance at the front of the alleyway and further down was the employee entrance. All of it bathed in the pink light of a neon sign that bragged about having prey escorts. As you walked opposite the line to get in, you smelled it. That sickly sweet stench that was there at all of the crime scenes. Your feet picked up as you could feel you had picked the right lead.
