“Hey dad, is this a good time,” you ask, hearing a lot of construction and people talking in the background.

“We will always make time for you, we are just rebuilding the wedding venue, the last one had to be torn down when some Firecats got loose AND NO ONE THOUGHT TO TELL ME!” Your mother answered the phone and started yelling to someone on the other side near the end.

“Hello Daisy,” Starfire greeted cheerfully.

“It's wonderful to hear your voice Kori, and I’ve told you to call me mom,” Daisy replied sweetly.

“Kori?” Erza asked.

“Starfire’s untranslated name is Koriand’r, Kori means star,” you reply before focusing on the call. “Hey mom, is dad around, we need advice and info about something that happened today. Well, two somethings.”

“He is calling the caterers right now, the ones we hired last time went out of business and we need someone who can make authentic Sarasaland and Tamaranean dishes,” she replied.

“Tell him we may need some french/German dishes as well,” Aelita said before turning to Starfire. “If it’s okay with you?”

“It will be my pleasure to have you join our most joyous occasion,” Starfire said, holding Aelita’s hand with stars in her eyes.

“Yes! Finally! And I take it you want to marry my cuddlebuggie at the sametime? Charlie get your butt over here, Aelita is joining the wedding!” You can hear someone cursing and knocking over something before your dad could be heard on the phone.

“Okay, the caterers are available a month from now; what's this about Aelita joining the wedding,” Charles or Charlie James asked once he got close to his wife, a Princess Daisy from Super Mario Party.

“I proposed and we decided that the three of us will get married at once,” you say and quickly continued to get back on the Hoofer problem. “But that is not exactly the biggest concern right now; there was a problem at work.”

“Did you knock up another character without buying?” Your dad half joked. Your mom made an excited noise.

“Is everyone going to bring that up?” You say a bit exasperated. “No, there was this extremely angry customer making threats, like mounting characters on their wall level threats.”

“Did he threaten you?” Daisy asked with a threatening tone in her own voice.

“Not directly me. But he demanded the return of a Wonder Woman his grandson had me pick up yesterday,” you reply. “I had bought Diana a few hours later along with the rest of the ponygirl team.”

“Wait, wait, wait, you bought the whole team?” Your dad asked in surprise. “And was this before or after you found Starfire?”

“Before, I was wandering around when she jumped out of another employee’s van,” you reply. “It was honestly a really lucky break.”

“Sweetie, let's focus on the guy making threats,” your mom said with a sickeningly sweet voice. You hear your dad say a few ows, your mom is likely pinching his ear painfully.

“Yeah he apparently spent more than a million dollars on her to give to his grand kid and the bastard then threw the whole team away when they lost the big race,” you explained, taking a mocking tone around the ‘big race’.

“Wait, the angry customer, did he have slicked-back hair, a mustache that connects to his sideburns, maybe had a bit of a cowboy accent? Might’ve been driven around by a Mercy from the Superman animated series with shoulder length hair?” Dad said somewhat urgently.

“That sounds right, and I did see a Mercy driving a limo, how did you know…” you pause. “Is your friend Roger, Roger Hoofer of Blazing Hoof Ranch?”

“Blazing Hoof was one of Roge’s ‘hobbies’ but then he got interested in motorcycle girl racing,” your dad sighed. “He called me today asking for help tracking the one who bought the Diana, that was why I called earlier, to see if you knew, but your news made me forget.”

“Can you call him to see if we can sort this out peacefully, we already had a character we think is his sneaking around,” Katara asked respectfully.

“I’ll try to reach him, switch to your mom’s phone,” your dad ordered as he hung up the phone. You call your mom’s cell and you all wait for a response. Many of your characters eventually leave the room as they figure that the issue might be getting handled. Eventually your dad comes back into the audio range.

“I wasn’t able to reach him, his assistant said he is dealing with a situation at one of his facilities and he won’t be available for a while,” your dad explains. “Come to my poker night on Monday, Roger never misses that and we can get everything sorted then.”

“That’s three days away, you sure he won’t do something?” You ask, nervous for the safety of your harem, mostly Aelita and your weaker characters. Diana, Erza and especially Starfire can handle most things.

“Roger has a bit of a temper,” Daisy pondered. “Didn’t you tell me he hospitalized a guy for spitting on his shoes.”

“Yeah but if he didn’t do that we wouldn’t have gotten our stuff back and would’ve been stuck in that universe until someone refound the universe and the universe jumping tech was still in beta back then,” your dad explained away his friend’s action back then. Your dad would always brag about being one of the first five hundred employees of RealDreams. “But yeah, he might pull off something stupid especially if his characters found your house. Some of the guards at facility 63b have been asking for a change since the pokégirls they guard just sleep all day. I’ll see about sending them your way.”

“Thank you dad, love you,” you say with a bit of relief.

“We love you too my little cuddlebuggie,” Daisy replied. “Oh and Kori.”

“Yes?”

“Two or three will be fine.” And Daisy hung up while giggling a bit.

“I’ll do my best,” Starfire said as she turned around and gave you bedroom eyes.
