What's next?
Running into Randall
After you had dropped off the signed consent form to the registrar, who promptly made the changes to your schedule and informed you with an amused look to not miss class, you slipped back out into the hallway just as the first period ended and you caught a glance at Allison. She was walking down the hallway with a group of friends and while she pretended not to see you, engaging suddenly with several of the girls, you knew better. By now, with the looks you were getting from quite a few of the seniors, you knew the news had gone around that you and Jennifer had walked into school holding hands. That would explain the glare she gave you when you were glancing down at your schedule.
"Hey, Tim?"
You glanced behind you for a moment and spotted Scott, one of your friends coming from the opposite direction. "Hey, man."
"Listen, is it true about you and Jennifer? I thought you were going out with Allison?"
You just shrugged and with a nod towards the group who had suddenly stopped and pretended to look busy, you moved off to your locker. "I'll catch you in PE?" After he nodded and walked off, you had opened your locker and pulled out your books, making sure you had your next two subjects in hand, and were just about to close your locker when you heard your name being called from behind you.
You looked back at the person standing there. A few of the students looked at the scene between the two of you but other than Allison, who was also looking at you two, you were sure it looked like Ms. Card wanted to talk with you about something. Randall had gone for a rather conservative appearance with jeans, a form-fitting top that did little to the imagination, and had his blonde hair up in a lazy bun. Makeup was much better, definitely the byproduct of practicing often. All in all, you had to admit, he was doing well to slide into the life placed in front of him. Or her, maybe it was time to make that adjustment in your head?
"Listen, if you want to talk about yesterday..." he began, glancing slightly aside at Allison who again ditched looking at the two of you and found apparent interest in her biology book (she hated the subject, almost comical).
You smiled and closed the locker door and spun the knob to lock it. "That's okay, Ms. Card, my friends are helping me out with things. I appreciate the offer, though." You noticed the slight falling of his face as you mentioned the word 'friends' but you were now beyond caring. "Best be going, don't want to be late." You smiled and waved to Allison before stepping to the side of Randall and moving down the hall towards your next class. You had enough of people telling you to be late. A friend would've known that.

The Ultimate Transplant
Someone you know is given a new body & life
PLEASE ADD CHAPTERS! A close friend or family member is horribly injured in an accident. As they lay dying in the emergency room, another patient dies of a brain aneurysm. Both of them are organ donors, so a surgeon decides it's the perfect opportunity for him to try an experimental surgery. He transplants the victim's higher brain (the cerebellum) to the donor's body in an attempt to 'save' a life. Amazingly it works. But the surgery was not approved so the hospital convinces the families to keep quiet, arguing that revealing this operation to the public would bring never-ending media attention to all involved. That means that the patient will have to publicly assume the identity of the donor. What will this mean to your friends and family? Who else will you tell? Although you will spend a lot of time and effort giving support, how will all this alter your relationship to the patient? And how will he or she adapt to a complete change of body and identity? Many transformation stories focus on the change or victim, so I thought it would be interesting to instead have the POV be someone who sees the change from the outside. Writers feel free to explore a change in age, gender, class or ethnicity - and the repercussions that change would have on the main character (and others).
