Chapter 9 by Eugene_Oregon Eugene_Oregon

What's next?

A midnight streak

Nancy Wheeler peered fearfully around the edge of the tent, looking out for any signs of movement. With the coast clear, Nancy tiptoed to the next one.

The brunette shivered as she rushed from tent to tent, a gentle breeze blowing over her pale flesh.

"C-c-cold," she muttered.

She had fought off sleep to ensure she stayed awake long after everyone had gone to bed. Even when quiet fell over the camp, Nancy hadn't gone, suspecting another trick.

But when she hadn't been able to wait any longer, she had made a break for it.

She was glad it was cloudy tonight. If anyone had felt like looking out of their tent, Nancy didn't want her bare body to be reflected in the moonlight.

If she never saw these freaks again, it would be too soon.

As Nancy cleared the edge of the camp, she broke out into a steady jog. She clutched her breasts to keep them steady.

How many times had she done this walk during the day? The woods looked completely different by night, Nancy realised, wishing she had thought to grab at least some shoes from the camp before she left. The rough ground was agony to her bare feet.

It wasn't long before Nancy was panting loudly and perspiring. Either she clearly wasn't as fit as she thought she was, or she had underestimated just how far away from home she actually was.

Nancy's legs were soon asking her to stop, but she knew if she did, she would never get going again. If she don't keep moving, her heavy eyelids would drop and she would be discovered many hours later, fast asleep and as naked as a newborn.

As she stumbled through the undergrowth, Nancy began to wonder if bears lived in these woods; although given a choice between being eaten by a bear or being seen in her current state by another human, Nancy would take the bear.

The nude girl squeaked when an owl hooted above her. Stupid owl, Nancy thought, glancing up to see it flying off. Why couldn't she have night vision, or the ability to fly, or better still, no concept of nudity? No, she was stuck running through nettles, struggling to see and feeling like a block of ice. She took back her earlier statement. At least if there had been moonlight, she would have been able to see where she was going. For all Nancy knew, she was running around in circles.

Nancy jumped when something emerged from a bush close by...but it was just a rabbit.

She wasn't going to see anyone, she tried to reassure herself. Nobody else would be idiotic enough to go for a midnight walk in the woods at the time of year. But when you're naked and **** not to be seen, everything sounds like a human footstep, every silhouette and shadow human-shaped.

There! A faint light! Civilization! She was nearly home. A grin broke out across Nancy's face. Her thoughts turned to her bed, her soft pajamas, her socks...and oh, a bra! Her boobs had been out for quite long enough, Nancy thought. It was time to get them back in two cups, where they belonged.

But Nancy was so distracted that she forgot to look where she was going.

SLAM!

Nancy ran headlong into someone. They both fell over and tumbled together down a hill.

"Ahh!"

Over and over they rolled, locked together. Hair filled her vision, but whether it was hers or the other person's, Nancy didn't know.

Finally, they came to a stop.

Nancy breathed deeply, pinned to the ground by the stranger lying on top of her. She tried to wriggle free, but it was no use; she couldn't budge their weight.

"Hello?" a winded Nancy asked, trying and failing to free an her arm.

Just as Nancy was starting to fear the worst, the stranger stired, cursing.

Nancy's vision was obscured by her curly hair, and in the darkness, she couldn't make out who was lying on top of her.

But Nancy's hopes of getting away unidentified were swiftly dashed.

"Nancy?"

Who is it?
