Two tentacles and an open portal

As the smoke from the summoning clears, you see that what you thought was a creature standing on two legs was two rather large tentacles. They are a deep purple color and are so shiny they look slick. The tips are bent as if they're looking down at you and the wizard that summoned it. The floor where the summoning circle was is still an open portal that the tentacles are coming through, begging the question as to what the rest of the creature looks like.

The tentacles look almost quizzical as they seem to peer at the two of you even without eyes. You've been staring, mouth agape, from where you were knocked back, just beyond the circle. Finally, you hear the wizard fumble and stand to address the tentacles. Both turn towards him as he says, "I have brought you to our dimension for your great wisdom, oh mighty One. Please allow me to become your servant and lead me to a better world far beyond my knowledge." The wizard kneels and raises his arms in the air in an act of reverence.

With both tentacles focused on the wizard, you think this could be your chance. You slowly flip onto your stomach and start crawling towards the door. You remember that the wizard locked it and hung the keys right next to the door on a hook. You inch your way closer, hoping the tentacles are still distracted by whatever madness the wizard is spouting. Finally, the door and the keys are in sight; thankfully they were just knocked to the floor in the blast of wind from the summoning.

The key for the door stands out as the largest one among the many keys on the ring. You're almost within reach when you hear a shriek from behind you. Not wanting to take your chances you pick the keys up and prepare to unlock the door. In your frenzy to be free, the keys jingle loudly. You freeze for just a moment and turn to see if you've been spotted.

You see one of the tentacles surrounding the wizard, covering his head completely. He's frantically trying to free himself from its grasp. You suppress a shriek as you see the other tentacle is now coming towards you. Do you have a chance at fleeing still?
