Computron

"What is this thing," Toph muttered quietly as her hands fumbled around my laptop which she had somehow found and even more surprisingly managed to turn on. Quirking an eyebrow I spoke up, "That would be my computer." Apparently Toph was so engrossed with her exploration of the object in her lap that she didn't notice me coming in, her body jolting slightly before turning to me with slight surprise, "Damn John, you're sneaky...so what is this thing again?"

I chuckled a bit and walked over, settling down on the couch next to Toph and gently pulling the computer onto my lap, "This is a computer...um, how do I put it. It's like..." For a moment I was completely stumped, how exactly does one explain the concept of a computer to someone who has never seen one...or could see at all. Scratching my head a bit I continued, "It's got a bunch of uses, you can listen to music with it, you can watch stuff on it, you can buy things on it, and you can access all the info in the world with it."

For a moment Toph sent me a dry look when I mentioned anything about watching but she threw it off for a peculiar look of wonder instead, "Huh, so you're saying this little...box thing can do it all?" Shrugging a bit I responded, "Kind of..." "What are all the little buttons?" Toph questioned, her fingers pressing down on a few keys as I gently guided her hand along the surface. "They're letters, kind of like instantly writing down anything as you type with these keys," I offered, my tone slow as I tried my very best to explain the concept without sounding condescending.

Despite my voice a smirk began to creep across Toph's face, I wasn't sure if I should be worried about it or not but there was only one way to find out, ask...
