An Akuma attacks

"This just in: An Akuma has been sighted near the Arc de Triomphe"

The show Marinette's parents were watching was interrupted by a news report signaling an Akuma attacking. Marinette knew it was late, so she needed to find an excuse so she could transform into Ladybug and stop them.

"Uh... On no! These chips are expired! I'll go out and get some more!" Marinette blurted out and went to get her jacket on over her onesie and headed out before her parents could tell her to stay. She then took out her phone and sent a text to Alya explaining the situation, asking her to come up with an excuse for her absence. "Let's make this quick. Tikki, Spots On!"

With the magic words, Marinette transformed into her superhero alter ego, Ladybug. She headed over to where the news said the Akuma was, assuming her partner, Cat Noir, would be there as well.
