Do you strike a deal?
Not quite.
You haggled and negotiated hard with him, and he seemed to enjoy the challenge. You talked about Stone, Ore and wood as building materials.
However, no matter how much both of you liked the idea of him buying supplies from you cheaply, there was one thing neither of you could overcome; the fact he could not use the materials until the glitch was fixed and if he brought before than the goods would probably get stolen.
However, if you returned after the patch, they could negotiate then. If you happened to stockpile any Stone Units in the meanwhile, it was more to sell.
After the negotiations failed you lead the party out towards the town gate.
You tell the group “That foreman told you something you should remember about Crafting. Can any of you tell me what it was?”
They frowned and slowed down. They could not remember!
After they give up you tell them “You do not have to Craft things from start to end all at once. You can turn materials into parts for the larger job if you do not have them all at once, or only have a limited time to make the main job. Imagine if you had to assemble a siege engine, but by the time you crafted the raw materials into it you would have been spotted an overrun. Or you could assemble sections that join together with minimum Crafting time and have them carried there in people’s inventory. Same with traps and other things.”
