The blonde in the booth.

“Check her out Tiff!” Linda says pointing out the same blonde in the booth Tiff saw when she first came in.

“She’s been sitting there for a while with nothing to do. This is the perfect chance to chat her up!” Suggests Linda.

Tiffany straightens herself and begins to walk to the blonde hottie. Taking the first step is a huge effort. Slow at first Tiff realizes that she’s doing it and she manages to make herself walk normally all the way to the blonde’s booth. She arrives having successfully gathered her courage just in time to speak.

“H-h-Hi,” Tiff says with a tiny wave.

“Huh? Oh, hey there,” replies the blonde.

“My name’s T-Tiffany.”

“Oh, nice. I’m Beth.”

“So, uh, what you up to?”

“Huh? Oh, nothing. Just waiting.”

“Waiting? Who are you waiting f—”

Just then a guy appears behind Tiffany. He stands a foot taller than Tiff and is absolutely jacked.

“Hey babe, sorry I’m late.”

“Brad, what the fuck took you so long?” Beth says standing up and scolding her boyfriend.

“Um,” Tiff stares back and forth at them trying to get something out.

“I’m real sorry babe! There was this wiggly thing on the ground an—” explains Brad their conversation fading away as he and Beth leave.

Tiff stands perfectly still. Her head tilts down and her face looks completely dead. She returns to Linda sitting down slumped and dejected.

“Aw, don’t let it get you down Tiff. Just a bit of bad luck. Y’know, it could have been sooo much worse. So really it was a very good first try!” Linda slides up to Tiff trying to cheer her up.

Tiffany chugs her drink trying to distract herself with its distinct unique taste.

“You just gotta try again. Anyone of these girls would be lucky to have a cutie like you!” Says Linda.

“I can’t do that again. Everyone here probably saw me screw up.”

“Tiff, I know you’re feeling pretty bad right now, but think of the bright side. There’s nowhere else to go but up! Here. Let’s just try picking someone else. What’s your choice Tiff?!”
