A massive Spare Opera franchise, much like Mass Effect, though this franchise started as a FPS before branching out, rather than just RPG games like ME.

In the 26th century, humanity is at war with a powerful collective of alien races known as the Covenant, whose religious beliefs have decreed that they should wipe out the human race. While the United Nations Space Command (UNSC) is vastly outmatched by the Covenant's superior numbers and Forerunner-based technology, mankind has one advantage in the form of the SPARTAN-II Super Soldier program.

Of course, this is only the general backstory for the conflict, but much happened in the games proper, like the Flood, the Halo rings... There's a lot of story to go through, that's for certain. And the franchise can boast of having one of the more recognizable IA characters in popular media in the form of Cortana, who accompanies the main character, John-117, in almost all games.

It's obvious you either want Cortana or a powerful Spartan lady, but there are one or two more options beyond that...
