Pay for only yourself

Ethan decides to pay for just himself.

“Uh, one for ‘The Wizard of Oz’ please.”

Ashley gives Ethan a sidelong glance, her expression unreadable.

After he gets his ticket, she shifts to the counter. "One for the same, please."

After paying for the tickets, they enter the theater, and suddenly Ethan is met with a new challenge: concessions. The tickets were cheap, but popcorn and a drink would make for a bit more of a dent in his wallet. He was, in theory, on a budget.

“Are you getting anything?” Ashley pipes up, noticing Ethan staring at the concession stand.
