One drink, one popcorn

Ethan decides to get something. “Yeah, I’m gonna get something.”

Walking up to the concession stand, Ethan orders one popcorn, and one large drink. Ashley doesn't seem too interested in the exchange, almost looking bored as the order is prepared. Collecting it, Ethan turns to her. “Alright, let’s go.”

Ashley eyes the popcorn and drink in his hands. “Planning on sharing?” She gives him a curious look that Ethan is about 80% sure is her flirting.

“Uh. Yeah.”

Whether that was the plan or not before doesn't matter now.

Stuff in hand, the two of them enter the auditorium proper. Looking around, Ethan sees even fewer people than yesterday. “Why even do these early shows if nobody shows up?” He wonders aloud.

“I’ve wondered that myself. It’s just kind of always been that way. On occasion, they’ll show something that pulls in a crowd, but they can’t seem to predict what’ll do it.”

The two of them take their seats, picking out more or less the same spot they had yesterday. Before turning his phone off, Ethan glances at the time. 1:58. The show was about to start.
