Mindy gets an advanced screening

Diana's office the following morning Diana is sitting on the couch admiring a new photoshoot she'd completed for vanity magazine when she hears a familiar Woosh out on terrace "Clark homey, I'm in here" she threw the glamourous shots onto the table. Diana rose from the couch stretching like a cat as Superman entered the room "Morning honey", "Morning Diana" he replied taking her into his arms a wry smile tell over her face as Superman asked her "What was so important that you called me over first thing in the morning? Other than to see your beautiful face of course". "Well, I've prepared an advanced copy of tonight's show to air to my biggest corporate sponsor they just love watching before everyone else and I wanted you to be here to see it too, take a seat" she prya herself away from him for a moment as she directs him to the couch. Superman looks at the table admiring the glamour shots of Diana "Do you like them?" She asked "Vanity magazine have been bugging me for months and months for an exclusive". "Your beauty is timeless Diana". "I didn't realise charm was one of your powers" there's a knock on the door "Aha there is my number 1 sponsor now" Diana opens the doors the click of high heels can be heard as Mindy Church rocks in holding her dog in her arms, her cleavage pouring out of a leather dress "Hello Diana" the two air kiss as they greet each other. Superman looks up at Mindy and alarm bells ring in his head he and Lois have been investigating Mindy's links to Intergang for the longest time but it was proving impossible to pin anything on her "SUPERMAN?" said Mindy in an over dramatic gasping way "I didn't know you'd be joining us?". "Mindy, Superman is my guest on tonight's show, Superman this is Mindy Church CostMart is my biggest sponsor". "We've met" says Superman as he looks at Mindy with a steely disposition.

The tape begins to roll Mindy is literally aglow at hearing Superman pour all of his secrets out as the tape finishes Mindy turns to Superman "So you're really Clark Kent?" An uneasy Superman nods "wowzers In always thought he was a weedy pencil pusher but now I get what Louis Lane sees in him" she says...(Lois, Superman thinks to himself) hearing her name triggered something within him feelings slowly began to creep back in. Diana looks at Mindy as the two women begin to chat when Mindy just casually says "Have you heard about Michael DeSantos? Somebody tried to shoot him it's so, so sad". "Yes" replies Diana "I doubt the police can keep him safe". Superman interjects "There's nothing to worry about on that front I've pledged to guard him night and day" the thought suddenly dawns on him he's not been there in days "Maybe I should go and see him" he adds, Diana smiles "Just what I had in mind Michael and I are old friends. I tried to visit earlier this week but I couldn't get in...". "I'm not surprised the whole hospital is in lockdown"... I'd love to see him Clark...". "I can ask Lois to put you on the admittance list?" (That name again Lois, visions of her begun to flood his mind, she beautiful, intelligent, had a killer set of legs. "Earth to Superman" says Diana and she waves her hand in his face "Or should I say Krypton?" The two women laugh. Diana continues "As I was saying, I'd love to see Michael I need you to get me in tonight can you do that Clark?". "I, I..? Can't" Diana looks at Clark quizzical "No?" She presses herself against him her supple body gently rubbing against his as she kisses him, Superman feels his knees turn to jelly as the thoughts he was having of Lois were replaced by Diana "Are you sure about that Clark?" His he looks up eyes glazed over "Should I take you now?" Diana smiles like a predator playing with her prey she runs her hands through Superman's hair "Tonight" she looks at Mindy, who is looking in shock at how that kiss had changed his mind. Diana seizing the moment and wanting to show off her toy "Now, Superman I'm hungry bring me something to eat I'll have the usual" WOOSH he leaves the photos of Diana fly into the air. "Very impressive Diana, where has he gone?", "Wait and see" she replies. Minutes pass when Superman returns the finest pastries and champagne from France, a fresh fruit platter with fresh pineapple, mango and coconut from the carribean, fresh apples from an orchard in England, Oranges from Spain, grapes from a vineyard in California, fresh tulips from Amsterdam, Belgian chocolates, Greek yogurt. Mindy looked on astonished Diana reached down took one strawberry dipped it in a pot of melted chocolate and bit the end off and looked up disapprovingly. Superman moves towards her "Did I forget something?" Diana looks at him "Where is my Italian coffee from Italy?" Damn Superman thinks to himself "Please, let me get it for you now, I w as not to make you happy". Diana waves him away "Get me in to see Michael DeSantos tonight and I'll be very happy". Mindy had been silently watching on she'd mannouvered herself over to Diana's desk and had managed to open the top drawer undetected and palm one of Diana's lipsticks (Superman with Diana is useful, but I think he'd be far more useful on my arm). Mindy makes her goodbyes one of her goons notices the lipstick "What have you got there Mrs Church" she smiles "The key to the city".
