Memories

Closing her eyes for a brief moment, Misty let it all seep back into her head.

At first, it was all less than wonderful times. Days where things were rough, when mom and dad would fight it out to an extent with little sign of letting up. But then there were other things. Mentions of a group calling themselves 'Team Rocket' or something. And how her father knew she was still up to no good.

The days when her sister were somehow gym leaders before Ash came through right after. While by no means the worst time in Misty's life, it was up near the top.

Then she met Ash. Things were starting to look up in her life.

But then he went off to some other region, probably getting the likes of some other girl. Because of course he did. Sometimes, she wondered how he even managed to be as lucky as he was at times.

Misty's eyes shot open, a deep breath following.

"Okay..." she thought, focusing on the meal in front of her for the moment.
