So who was the woman passing sea eggs and sea creatures?
Mediter
Mediter watched her new home be built in anger. She was not angry at what was being built; the two underwater cities she had conquered had given her the manpower and material to build a grand city in between them. Her army of chaos sea monsters was patrolling the borders of the new underwater nation. It was a great thing to see being built; the only problem was she could not enjoy it with her father.
He was gone, taken away by that chaos lord. She was angry, though she knew he had done the right thing in helping her father escape; that dirty demigod whore would have no doubt gotten him otherwise. What made it even worse was that she could not kill the bitch for attacking her father. As his daughter, she could tell his magic was inside of her, changing her in some way. So if she could kill the hero whore before whatever the magic was doing to her was completed, she could be in the way of whatever her father planned for her.
Which step refused to do so, so she had blended in her humanoid form, being that of a beautiful Greek woman. So it was easy to simply put herself among the other women. So when the dirty whore's friends showed up to help, she was simply another poor naked victim that needed help. She was helped by the fact the transformation of the others into a more superior form with an ability to breathe underwater had given them the necessity to see her as their goddess.
She had to move quietly, though, as there were few that had arrived to save them that could recognize what she was if she wasn't careful. Though she was able to give certain believers the help they needed. It was easy to create the necessary creatures required for them to carry out their task. The difficult part was handing them off without the heroes noticing, but she had managed it.
She'd gone with the Auranians and the Venturians back to their city, which the heroes had left to their own devices, while they got the surface dwellers back to where they belonged. It was way more of a giant monster whale than the beautiful Greek woman she normally looked like. Her horrible whale calls are organizing her chaos army, both those patroling the borders and those escorting her. The first major building being built was the grand arena.
She would need it, as the earlier guardians left behind had proven not up to the task. So the newly devoted of the two underwater cities and her chaos sea beast will fight so she can find true champions to defend her father. It would take time, as many new chaos sea beasts will be born from the fighting, but if the fights have to go on eternally to make sure her father has the best champion possible, then so be it.
Her attention was taken away from the slowly forming arena by two women approaching her. She waited for their approach. The woman in question, being Queen Cleo, and Queen Eeras swam before her, both with reports to give no doubt. She looked to Queen Cleo to give her report, for she had for years had gladiator combat as entertainment, which made her best suited to being in charge of the arena's construction.
"My goddess's construction goes well. Soon you will have an arena worthy of hosting battles for your father's enjoyment!" Queen Cleo said with joy and eagerness, clearly wanting the arena battles to start soon. No doubt for the chance to host these grand games for her new gods and perhaps even fight herself for a chance of being named champion.
Mediter nodded as she could in her giant whale monster form and turned towards Queen Eeras to hear what she had to say. "My Goddess, the preparations are going well; the fleet will be ready soon." Queen Eeras said to which Mediter gave a happy whale song in reply, which sounded horrifying. Though both queens understood it was a sound of happiness.
Queen Cleo had a quick glare towards Eeras, while Eeras herself gave a happy, smug smile in return. Mediter quickly sent both queens on their way, as their task needed to be done quickly. For next time her father asked for her aid, she would be ready to answer the call. Mediter looked at the advanced fleet of underwater warships being made by Auranians and gave a horrific smile, eager to conquer in her father's name.
Elsewhere on the island of Malta, an island nation in the Mediterranean, was a woman on a mission. Janet Drake got off the plane and quickly made her way to her ride. Her driver, Toni Breidinger, waited for her at the limo. She was a brunette of Arabic descent and was a rather skilled driver. She had jumped at the chance when Janet had offered her a job mostly due to her career projection. She was in her early thirties, still healthy and beautiful, but younger girls were coming up to replace her in both car racing and modeling.
So with Toni on board, Janet had a driver. One of the best-paid members of her staff at the moment, as she didn't have a lot to pay with. She had to take it on a rainy day, fond of her husband and son who had missed her. Luckily the country of Malta was paying most of the bills for this excavation, even sending a few students from their college to work at her new dig.
Toni made good time getting her to her motel in record time. "Here we are, ma'am. Do you need me to get you anywhere later?" Toni asked, trying to be good, a driver, as she knew it—the whole personal driver profession—and was concerned with being fired. Janet shook her head at the question.
"Don't worry, I'm going to be going over my research for the dig for the rest of the day. So just have the rest of the day off and enjoy the sights." Janet said, to which Toni gave a happy smile and agreed. She helped Janet get her bags in and then left to go enjoy the Malta beaches. Janet herself quickly got her notes out and began looking over what she had.
She'd left behind her husband and son, not waiting for her son to ask too many questions about what she was after or why she was getting it to begin with. She'd left her husband behind because the recent revelations of his fuckups after her death had given her serious doubts about his competency. Luckily for her, neither man had tried to argue with her going alone.
Her husband wanted a time-out from the hot seat, and her son just wanted the fighting to stop at home. So alone in her hotel she looked over the notes she had gathered. She didn't have the resources to go after the true prizes of archeology. The chase for those artifacts was taken up by others. She didn't have the resources or authority to try and take the search from them, so she had to make do with a lesser-known thing.
In Malta there was a small statue of a fat lady sleeping known as the sleeping lady. It represented a kind of dream state between life and death. It was unfinished, as its two heads that could be switched out in the statue's head slot were missing, one representing life and the other death. She was hoping this relic would either help her bring back her master or communicate with him.
Either way the artifact should help her. She hoped anyway she didn't have a lot of options, and it's not like she had a lot of stellar options to choose from. So it would have to do; she should be able to take it without much fuss, as well. It was an artifact most had never even heard of, and if she gave the government all the valuables she found with the heads, it would be fine.
Though how to go about it: should she double-check where the original stature had been found or look somewhere else? It would make sense to look for some lost whatever house from ancient times. As it would make sense for whatever priesthood was in charge of the statue to keep the heads separate from the main part. As they probably only put the heads in place for special rituals or occasions.
Janet looked over the notes, and Mal had double- and triple-checked everything to get the best possible area to search for her prizes. "Where are you, my little prizes? Do you think that you can hide from a drake?" Janet asked aloud with a hungry, feral look on her face, clearly wanting these statue heads with a concerning level of eagerness.
