“What’s the matter, Reed?” Susan Storm, aka Invisible Woman asked upon noticing her husband’s troubled look.

Reed Richards, who is also known as Mr. Fantastic continued to study the figures on his computer monitor with a perplexed expression on his face. “It’s so strange,” Reed said.

“What is, darling?”

“There are strange energy signatures popping up across in the city. I’ve never seen anything like this.”

“Is it cosmic in nature?” Susan asked, peeking over her husband’s shoulder at the screen.

“Maybe,” Reed replied, “It’s definitely extra-dimensional in nature. It doesn’t resonate with the frequencies of space and time of our universe.”

“How strange,” Susan said.

“Check this out,” Reed said as he pulled up a new browser window. “Here’s the satellite data for all the instances of these energy signatures across the city for the past 3 months. See a pattern?”

“Hmmmm…” Susan replied as she studied the map data. “Individual readings across the city are pretty weak.” Susan then pointed at a glowing blue dot on the map. “Except there. There’s been a spike recently. What’s over there?”

“That’s Stark Tower,” Reed Richards said.

“Stark?” Susan asked, “Iron man? Maybe it’s another project of his. A new suit, perhaps?”

“Maybe,” Reed replied. “Now look at this…”

Reed zoomed out the map on screen to show the rural areas around the city.

“My god!” Susan exclaimed. She immediately spotted the large cluster of blue dots in an area outside the city limits. “What on earth is going on there?”

“My thoughts exactly,” Reed said, “I checked the records. It’s an unincorporated community that has only just been established in recent years.”

“A community? You mean there’s a town right there?” asked Susan.

“That’s right,” Reed said, “It’s called, Blackhaven.”
