Chapter 67 by TheDespaxas TheDespaxas

Time to check this thing out.

Market analysis.

Never before had the subject of his business class lesson been so tightly correlated to what John wanted to do.

Of course, the fact that he would be dividing his attention between his phone and relieving female students of damp underwear meant that he probably wouldn't hear a word of it. After a round of Arouse on strategically chosen targets (girls who wouldn't be in other classes he had), he turned his attention to the site, waiting for the effects to bring results before the harvest and leaving time for his mana to recover.

It was a simple website, it looked like a standard auction hub like there were so many. The only thing different was what was offered on it...

And the prices.

It looked like there was everything he could imagine on this site. Scrolls, books, magic armor, weapons, jewelry, components and artifacts. One section was even filled with things that made him shudder a bit. One seller was offering 50l kegs of human blood as well as various organs and body parts. And a full section was actually selling people as slaves or (more worrying) spell components.

John had to check a few times that the site was actually labeled in dollars. Most of what he was seeing on it was priced in tens or hundreds of thousands of dollars.

He wouldn't go on a shopping spree today for sure.

The items all had descriptions that were very vague on the effects they had, but by focusing on them, John was able to guess their stats even through pictures. He was apparently alone to use numeric stats for his powers. Most of the other users were seeing this from the mystical approach.

His tries to find the value of his possession were frustrating. There were absolutely no Undead essences on sale, which meant that they could have reached a good price but not enough to endure the wrath of his teacher. The dark iron looked pretty good, but he needed to enter a picture of it and the weight of his chunk to get it appraised.

Apparently for a small fee both expedition and delivery could be made through some special delivery drones. And for a larger fee an appraiser from the company could come to appraise any item on site.

Sorting items by price, he found a few that were only a few hundreds or thousands of dollars, but they were either useless to him or only marginally powerful.

There was a bunch of small items that would increase one of his stats by 1 or 2 priced around 2000 or 3000 dollars. As useless as it would be for him as a buyer, it looked very good for the sales aspect. If he managed to produce in mass items with powers, even limited ones, he would probably be able to make enough money from it to afford the real treasures of this site.

There were even elemental essences. Fire, light, earth, water, metal, air, cold, life, lust (apparently the desire to fuck was one of the forces of the universe), all ranging from 20k to 60k depending on rarity and purity.

He had missed the chance to print his new book and get some knowledge on his exotic crafting materials, so he had no idea of their real value.

John took a short break to do some harvesting, his mana getting higher. By the time the class finished he would have gathered 7 new pairs and primed a few other for later. If only there was a way to go faster.

His dive into the mysterious website had given him good hopes for the future, and he was already thinking of ways to get more money. Stealing could work, but not everyone deserved to have their money taken away. Well, some people did...

It could be dangerous, but after some tests and training, he might be able to manage it. In stories and comics, everytime someone got some powers they immediately started to try becoming a hero and fighting crime. For John, it was another matter: it was not that he really wanted to stop criminals, but they had a lot of cash on hand, and the fact it was already ill-gotten made it easier to justify taking it. There were multiple gangs in some bad neighborhoods that according to the press were handling millions of dollars each year. With some discretion and wise use of his powers, John might be able to part them from a good slice of it.

Above thinking about this, John realized that he was horny. Anna would leave school before lunch, and his mom wouldn't be there when he would come home. He noticed how fast he had taken all the sex he was getting for granted, that even a day without any of it seemed strange. He found himself wishing for it to be Saturday or Sunday already.

Sadly, his fourth period was another class Anna didn't share with him, and he wouldn't even see her until the next day. And after their previous encounter, he doubted Moira would be ready for anything, especially at school.

Finding time to visit June would be tricky, could he really skip class twice in the same day?

On to his next class, or something more interesting?
