In-Game Biography

"Mantis always knows exactly how you're feeling, thanks to her strong empathic powers. Her alien ability to alter the emotions of others comes in handy on the battlefield, but Mantis only finds true happiness for herself when she is with her fellow Guardians of the Galaxy.

After being captured by the Collector and put on display at his theme park, Mantis managed to escape with the help of her fellow captives, Sai and Jeff. Now, Mantis travels the spaceways in hopes of reuniting with her team, while welcoming other displaced souls into the Guardians' found family."

This half-Vietnamese woman might seem like an alien, but she's actually completely human, besides the changes to her body from Kree experiments. From the Avengers to Guardians of the Galaxy, Mantis fights to protect the universe, for she feels a connection to all life. Given the title of Celestial Madonna, Mantis can both feel the life around her, while also being able to control them, and manipulate life energy. At the moment, Mantis is separated from her fellow Guardians, falling into the hands of the collector to be put up on display. With the aid of a yokai hunter and an A.I.M experiment, Mantis managed to break free and now ventures through this new entangled reality to find her friends.
