Lunchtime.

Juleka popped the snaps on Rose's onsie and found the padding of Rose's diaper to be hard and a little warm.

"Alright babygirl. Let's get you changed into a new one of these."

"But Juweka, hungwy."

"Don't you want me to change you first?"

Rose shook her head passionately.

"Eat!"

Any little, caretaker and psychologist would tell you that a Little's headspace acts on a spectrum that the little continuously fluctuates in and after months of taking care of Rose, she had learned to tell her mood

When Rose is at her deepest, she loses the ability to speak entirely, communicating in a series of basic noises. She also refrains from walking, either crawling or wanting to be carried. Having spent most of the day in her headspace, Rose is now in what Juleka (and their many friends) called "toddler-mode"; flawed speech and can still walk, but still has all of the same needs. She still needs a diaper, has certain dietary needs and constant supervision. Odds are Rose will come out of it in an hour or two, so Juleka should enjoy her cute little baby while she can.

"Alright, alright. Let's have numb numbs."

Rose responded by bouncing in her seat and giving off a series of childish giggles as Juleka tried reapplying the snaps on her onsie.
