Losing against The Scarlet Witch

"Oh, we can handle your little witch if she decided to dreamwalk." Maria had said that earlier in the day, and boy, was she regretting it. Not only had Wanda easily broken into their base and destroyed most of the Ultron Sentries acting as security, but she had also defeated three of the six Illuminati members. Charles and Mordo were busy with 616's Strange and Black Bolt, Reed, and Peggy had been defeated by the witch with ease. Now, only Maria was left. Having no other choice, Maria makes her last stand and charges toward the Scarlet Witch at full speed.

"Get the hell out of my universe!" Maria crashed head-first into Wanda, who shielded herself with a magic barrier. Both women locked eyes as they spun in mid-air, attempting to overpower one another. Maria stared into the red abyss that was Wanda's eyes. Which is what led to her downfall.

Wanda's eyes glowed a bright red, and soon after, Maria felt the witch crawling through her mind, reading her very thoughts and memories. Maria quickly pushed Wanda back in order to make a retreat and get her out of her mind. Wanda floated to the ground gracefully with a smirk on her face. "Maria Rambeau? You're Monica's mother."

"What of it?" Maria cracked her knuckles at the mention of her daughter's name.

"It means I like you." Wanda put out one of her arms, pointing it directly at Maria. "From one mother to another, I will grant you mercy. Even if it is more than you deserve." A large pulse of chaos magic launched out of Wanda's hand, heading straight toward Maria. Maria's body glowed as she put out her power hand in an attempt to absorb the energy, but it was pointless; she didn't have the strength needed to absorb chaos magic. Soon, Maria was blinded by the scarlet energy that encompassed her.

Just as quickly as she was blinded, Maria regained her vision as the scarlet wave of energy faded away, leaving Wanda in view. Wanda eyed Maria's body up and down before giving a content hum and beginning to walk toward the cell that contained America.

"Hey! I'm not finished with you!" Maria tried to chase after Wanda but stopped upon felling the cold ground below her. It felt like she was barefoot on the tile floor, which shouldn't be the case since she was wearing boots. Looking down to check what was going on, Maria's breath hitched and her eyes widened. She was barefoot alongside being completely bare of any clothes. Maria's mouth went slightly agape in her shock. Captain Marvel had been the protector of the cosmos for twenty-six years, and never once had she been left naked in a fight.
