Look for Louise

The last place Megan had seen Louise was the children's section, so it made sense that she should start her search there.

Slowly she walked across the central aisle back towards where she had last seen Louise, pausing awkwardly when she heard two customers giggling.

She glanced back to see the two women looking at her feet, but as soon as they saw her looking they darted off.

Megan couldn't help but glance down. The fluffy purple socks did look rather odd in contrast to the white summer dress she now wore. Would she catch less attention if she were barefoot?

She almost gasped at the thought. The socks were the only item of clothing she currently owned, she couldn't possibly loose those too could she?
