Chapter 8 by Zeebop Zeebop

Does Lois seek medical help, or go back into the club to find the source of her transformation?

Lois Lane Decides Medical Attention Is The Better Part Of Valor

While the Daily Planet's Greatest Reporter wasn't without courage, seeing her lovely lady lumps reduced to metallic mounds was the point where she decided that calling in the experts was smart reporter's option. So she headed down the narrow, trash-strewn alley.

Down Below

"Subject is headed outside of range," one of the drones intoned.

"Close off the alley," Brainiac said. "And prevent outside communication. I am going to focus my attention on furthering her transformation."

Circuits beneath Brainiac's synthetic skin began to glow as he shifted his consciousness to the wireless transmitters. By directing the nanites in Lois Lane's system directly, he would be able to maximize their progress...

In The Alley

Lois was squeezing herself between two trash bins when the end of the alley closed off. It was a kind of shimmer in the air, a localized heat-haze. She smelled the sharp scent of ozone above the sickly-sweet odor of the trash, and the hairs on the back of her neck stood up. Her metallic nipples, exposed and erect, began to spark. The reporter's eyes narrowed as she stared at ripple in the air, some sixth sense telling her this was not a good development.

There was an empty bottle by her foot. Lois kicked it...and when it hit the almost-invisible barrier, it sparked and shattered.

"Okay, that's not happening," Lois whispered to herself, retracing her steps. She made her way back down to the other end of the alley, reasoning that it had to have another end...and found, without much surprise, an identical distortion in the air.

The reporter stared down at her breasts. The hot glowing line had progressed to her collarbones, and she could feel a deep itch there.

Lois opened up her smartphone...and saw, without surprise, that she was out of service. The reporter grit her teeth. She was like a rat in a trap...but she wasn't entirely out of options yet.

What can Lois Lane do?
