Letter From His Father

Pelaing open the dust covered envelope, Jack slid out the letter that was contained within. Folding it open Jack was in for a treat.

Dear Jack
If you have been given this letter it means circumstances have taken place and I was not able to be there for you, your mother, and your sister. I have introduced your mother though to give you this letter and box when you have come of age. Inside your will find my life's work and accomplishment, I pass it now onto you to finish what I hoped to achieve and hope it gives you some sort of solace and purpose in life. I am sorry that I did not get to see you grow up and mature into the great young man I hope you are, but hopefully what I leave you will be the first steps to a better life.
I love you my son -Jim

Jack was flabbergasted that such a letter had been written for him, and by his father of all people. His father Jim had been a very intelligent man, some would say a modern Einstein or Da Vinci, but he had sadly passed away before Jack was but 5 years old mysteriously. But for his father's life work to be left waiting for him all these years only added to his intrigue as to what his mother had hidden from all this time.

Jack sets the letter down turning his attention of the cardboard box, marked in both his father's name, and his. taking a deep breath he reached out and opens the box as to see what mystery life work has been left for him.
