Leaving Naboo

When the news of Kal Modme's arrest reach Anakin through Padmé's communicator, he finally comes out of hiding from the swamplands of Naboo. He is welcomed back, but he is still very angry at Master Windu for ordering the clones to hunt him without having any deviance against him. Windu doesn't really care about the false accusations he made, as he firmly believes he was doing the right thing, based on the information he had at the moment. Anakin learned a few things from this encounter, most importantly, that if the clones turn on their Jedi masters, the Jedi would be having a very hard time fighting back... So he decided to train Ahsoka for such an occasion, should she ever have to fight against her own comrades for any reason.

With Obi-Wan and Ahsoka fully recovered and Anakin returning, everybody was ready to leave Naboo and return to Coruscant. You board the shuttles and take off, unknowing that on one of them, there was an extra passenger, disguised as one of the clone troopers. Once he has successfully infiltrated the Resolute, which has been orbiting Naboo since your arrival, the uninvited guest contacted his contractor.

The Resolute is Anakin's flagship, used in every major battle fought by him. It is commanded by him and Admiral Yularen, one of the top admirals of the Republic Navy.

?: I have successfully infiltrated the battleship, I'll contact you once I have the objectives in my possession.

Sidious: Excellent. I know you are one of the best and won't fail me. We must correct the mistakes of Modme and regain Substance 66 and Project Apocalypse at any cost! The Jedi must not uncover their means!

?: I don't care for reason as long as I get paid for my job. And there was not mention of having several Jedi aboard... This is going to cost double!

Sidious: You will be provided whatever you require, once you managed to retake those containers!

?: Won't be a problem. Boba out.

Boba Fett at his young ago lost his father, Jango Fett, a notorious bounty hunter, by the hands of Mace Windu. He wowed to avenge his father and kill Windu someday, until that time, he continued in his father's footsteps and became a bounty hunter himself. As a clone himself, he couldn't be distinguished from the other clones of his age, allowing him to easily infiltrate Republic bases and ships.

Boba takes off the clone armour he stole back on the planet and wanders the ship as a clone cadet. Nobody suspects him being an enemy, he easily passes through every security check. As he is heading towards the storage room to get the stuff he needs, he has a glimpse of Windu walking by in the distance, while talking to Commander Cody. He is instantly filled with rage, remembering the **** of his father.

The room is a large one, he is a level above Windu and has a clear sight of him. He looks around and finds cover behind a corner of a wall. He takes his blaster out and aims it at Windu, hoping to snipe him from the distance. As his keeps his aim on the target, his sudden anger slowly gets overcame by his sense. He remember his father as trying to kill Windu the same way, firing shots at him from a distance and he didn't achieve anything... Besides, he's on a Republic battleship filled with clones and a handful of Jedi, what's going to happen to him even if he manages to kill Windu? Reluctantly, but he lowers his weapon, putting it back away and slowly watches Windu passing out of the room.

Boba (thinking): Blast that schutta! I'll get you Windu, I swear! But not today it seems... I won't repeat the mistake of my father! Hmm... maybe I'll sneak up to his ship too and hide a bomb in his room... That could work... And I won't be anywhere near once it detonates! Perfect plan!

After he has the plan in mind, he continues his mission to find the containers. He gets to the storage room but it is guarded by two clones. He approaches them, trying to lure them away.

Clone one: This isn't the place for a cadet, get back to your group kid!

Boba: Sorry, I didn't want to bother you, but I kinda seem lost here... Could you direct me towards the cantina? That's where I got lost!

Clone two: Aah, cadets, they are always causing trouble...! So, you are going to have to go through this corridor, it will lead you to the armory, do NOT go in there, its restricted! Then, head towards the bridge, turn left, then right, walk across the hangar and there, you will be bumping into the cantina right away! Easy as that, got it?

Boba (scratching his head): Ehm... So, could you repeat the part after the armory please...?

Clone one: Oh come on, is every cadet this stupid now?! We were having a lot better training in our days! Come on, I'll escort you there, otherwise you might cause more trouble!

Clone two: Hey, we aren't supposed to leave this post!

Clone one: Come on, it's just a kid, besides, who would be bold enough to try to attack this ship when we have all those Jedi on board? Come on kid, I'll show you the way!

Boba: Thanks a lot, this ship is like a labyrinth!

Clone one: All the battleships are designed the same way!

Boba: In this case, I hope I'll be assigned to a ground battalion, not the navy!

When they make the first turn, Boba pulls out a shocker and shocks the clone til he drops on the ground.

Boba (whispering while shocking him from behind): Sorry, I didn't want to hurt you, but I have ****!

The clone makes a loud noise as his body drops on the floor, alerting the other clone.

Clone two: Hey, what was that noise? Are you alright? Blast that kid, I knew we were going to have trouble with him!

He raises his rifle and starts slowly approaching the corner. As he makes the turn, he notices his comrade on the floor.

Clone two (trying to wake him up): What?! Hey, are you alright?! Where did that kid go?!

Boba (shocking him from behind too): Sorry, nothing personal...

After dealing with both clones, he removes the security card from one of their pockets and opens the storage room. He is looking for the two containers which contain the things he was sent after, quickly finding substance 66. As he was searching for Project Apocalypse, he hears somebody found the bodies of the two clones. Without any more time left, he quickly makes a run for it and leaves the second container inside. He could get out of there before he was discovered, but didn't have enough time to close the door behind him.

Clone: Look, the storage room is still open! Maybe we can catch the one responsible red handed! Ready your weapons boys!

The clone patrols go inside looking for him, when they are all in, Boba runs back to the door and locks it with his card, trapping the clones inside. They try to break out, but the door holds still, as Boba is running to the escape pods to leave the ship for good. When he meets other clones he walks casually, not attracting any attention. Before he gets to the cadet's quarters, he bumps into you at a corner.

Lana: Hey, watch it kid!

Boba: Sorry, didn't mean to do that!

Lana (standing up and helping Boba back up): No problem, just try to be more careful next time!

Boba (quickly keeps moving): Will do.

Lana: Wait, what are you carrying in that container...?

Boba: oh, nothing, just my lunch, I'm heading to the cantina right now...

Lana: I see... But, the cantina is the other way...! Wait, that container looks like the one we took from Naboo!

Boba is swiftly pulling out a smoke grenade, activating it by throwing it on the ground and starts running towards the escape pods.

Lana: Damn that kid, he's a traitor! I must warn the others!

Lana (on her communicator): Bridge, this is Lana Ordo, we have a traitor on the ship! Repeat, we have a traitor on the ship!

Boba has activated a sort range signal jammer to prevent Lana from calling in reinforcements.

Lana (realizing the signal is jammed): Oh that little...! He must have jammed it! Alright, if you want to play it the hard way!

You start chasing him until you have followed him to the cadet's quarter. Every clone cadet looks almost the same, you can't tell which one could be him, expect by having that small container in his hands. You keep searching the place to find him, but not with too much of a success, as he is blending in perfectly. You try not to cause a panic by stating why you are there, if all the cadets start running up and down, it would be impossible to find Boba! When he opens the door to the escape pods section, you finally spot him again and start chasing him, by flying over the cadets with your jetpact to quickly size the traitor. He is acting fast though and by the time you get to the escape pods, he is already sitting in one, closing it's door and ready to hit the launch bottom. You try to stop the pod with the **** but it's too late, as he has already been ejected into the space. As a last resort, you keep trying to reach the bridge to send out a unit to capture the pod, but the jammer is still active. In the pod, Boba also uses a sensor array blocker to hide his life signal. The sensors at the bridge detected the escape pod, reporting it to Admiral Yularen immediately. He checks the origin of the pod and realizes it was coming from the cadet's quarter, so no need to do anything, as there is no living thing in the pod.

Yularen: It must be an other joke from the cadets, nothing to worry about! I won't give them the pleasure of seeing me sending out a unit and finding nothing! After their food fight in the cantina last week, when they put the whole ship into a state of emergency, I won't be jumping to their bait a second time!

When Boba gets out of range to further block your communicator, you are halfway to the bridge anyway, but at least you are finally able to reach the bridge and tell them what happened. Yularen tries to send out a unit to bring the pod back in, but by that time, it was picked up by Boba's colleagues and they have already jumped into hyperspace. He signals to Sidious from his ship.

Boba: The mission is complete, but I wasn't able to take Project Apocalypse, only Substance 66. I accept the lower amount of money for my failure...

Sidious: Don't be so harsh with yourself child, your mission was a success nonetheless. Maybe for the better, if the Jedi will be so reckless to open that container, we will might just gain far more from this failure than we could have gained from your success. I'll handle the rest. The drop point is unchanged, the credits will be waiting for you there.

After checking what's missing, you find out it was Substance 66. Anakin is looking at the container of Project Apocalypse, wondering what might be inside... Obi-Wan is calming his curiosity.

Obi-Wan: Anakin, maybe during your training I wasn't doing a thorough enough job... Never open anything that has a definitely terrifying name. Why don't you just put it back and let the scientists on Coruscant check it?

Lana: Maybe we shouldn't give it to the authorities... They let Doctor Vindi go the last time too!

Anakin: She has a point, the Jedi should keep it, just in case the Republic has been compromised like my ship was!

You all agree to carry the container to the Jedi temple instead of the Coruscant laboratories when you land. At the temple, you look for Master Yoda to help you craft a new lightsaber, but he just sends you away, convincing you that the time is not yet right. The stars will have a special alignment soon, if you craft your lightsaber at that time, the crystal you place inside will have a special bond with the ****, enhancing your powers. A little more patience will do you good in the long run! So, you are going to have to do a few more missions without a lightsaber it seems...
