Kon's Misadventures

When Ichigo and Kon arrived at Urahara's shop, the eccentric shopkeeper came out to greet them. "Welcome, welcome! It's good to see you both," Urahara said with a grin.

"Hey, Urahara. What's this about an experiment?" Ichigo asked, eyeing the shopkeeper, somewhat suspiciously. He knew that Urahara was a powerful ally, and he had been more than helpful in the fight against enemy forces in the past, but he also couldn’t forget the many times Urahara’s experiments ended up in disaster.

Urahara's grin widened. "Ah, yes. I'm developing a secret weapon to help aid against future opponents. Kon here is going to help me with some testing."

Kon looked up at Urahara nervously. "M-me?” he asked, gulping. “Hey, you didn’t mention testing before! What kind of testing?" Urahara laughed at Kon’s nervousnes

"Don't worry, Don’t worry!” he said, patting Kon’s head. “It's nothing too dangerous, I can assure you. Now, Ichigo, why don't you go home and relax? I'll take care of Kon for you."

Ichigo hesitated for a moment, unsure if he should trust Urahara with Kon.

"Alright, but… make sure you return him in one piece, okay?" Ichigo said, handing Kon over to Urahara. Kon coughed vigorously at his words.

“In one piece? What do you even mean? Hey, Ichigo?”

"Don't worry, I will," Urahara said, giving Ichigo a small wave goodbye.

“Hey, you’re not listening to me!” Kon continued to protest, but neither Ichigo nor Urahara paid any attention to him. “Hey!”

“Don’t worry,” said Urahara, grabbing Kon, still ignoring his protest – and brought him to his workshop. Inside, he strapped Kon to a metal chair, and Kon looked around in panic.

“What the fuck is this? Hey! Urahara!”

"Okay, Kon, first things first. We need to modify you a bit," Urahara said, not bothering to answer Kon’s question. He grabbed a strange-looking ray gun from a nearby table.

"M- modify me?" Kon repeated, his eyes widening in fear. “What is that gun? Hey!”

"Don't worry, it will only hurt a bit," Urahara said, his smile looked a lot like an evil grin to Kon.

“No, stop it! I don’t want it! Let me goooo!!” Kon began crying in fear, but Urahara merely chuckled. "It’s too late, Kon. Besides, you’ll love this. I promise you. It’s my newest invention."

“Wait,” Kon realized with even more dawning fear. “It’s your newest invention?? Does that mean I’m the first – AAAAGHH!!”

Kon didn’t have time to protest further because Urahara had aimed the ray gun at Kon and fired. Kon braced himself for the worst, but to his surprise, he felt a surge of energy coursing through him.

"What did you do to me?" Kon asked, looking down at his body in amazement.

"I just gave you a little upgrade, Kon. You now have the power to possess any bodies you want," Urahara explained.

"Really? That's amazing!" Kon said, his fear was now replaced by excitement.

"Yes, but there's more to it than that," Urahara said, with a mischievous glint in his eye. "You can now possess beings in Soul Society as well. And not just that, you can suppress their soul so that they won't even know you're there!"

Kon's eyes widened in surprise. "That's incredible! How do I use it?"

“Well basically,” Urahara paused a little as he thought of how to best explain this to normie. He grabbed a whiteboard, the began sketching on it. “You can sort of… push out your soul from the body in a snake-like form… and enter another person’s body through an opening… like mouth, for example. And like I said before… you are not limited to possess only an empty body anymore – you can now possess soul beings too! Basically when you possess them, you will put them in a kind of deep sleep, and you are free to use their body in the meanwhile! What do you say?”

"That’s amazing, Urahara. Thank you!" Kon said, his eyes glinting with excitement.

"You're welcome, Kon. Now, the only thing left is to test this,” Urahara rubbed his chin. “We need to make sure that it really works.” Urahara looked around his workshop, wondering if he could find another test subject, but there didn’t seem to be any other person in sight. He shouldn’t have told Ichigo to go home that quickly. Urahara sighed. Just then, both he and Kon was surprised by a knock at the door of the workshop.
