Kokomi

"Are you sure we shouldn't have brought back up?" Kokomi questioned the Lady Guiji. She had been surprised when Yae Miko had showed in Sangonomiya unannounced, asking for her help. She listened out to her friend's request, stating that she needed help with an exorcism on Yashiori island.

The General had wanted to come along and send some of their men as well, but LadyYae had insisted they go alone. It was a matter for Shrine maidens. Lady Yae went as far as to warn them not to follow as should they manage to exorcise the spirit, it may seek to find another host and the last thing any of them wanted was another possessed individual hiding on the island.

"I've already made charms to keep my followers safe and you. If we had more time I would have gladly welcomed their company but as it stands it was too risky bring anyone else." Yae told her. As they continued to walk, Kokomi could still feel an uneasiness.

"So what kind of spirit are we dealing with exactly?" She questioned.

"It's one you are very familiar with." Yae informed. "Orobashi or at least what's left of him." She told Kokomi.

"Wait...what?" Kokomi said in disbelief.

"Yes...its a spirit in the guise of Orobashi. I was surprised myself when I saw it but it is true. Do you see why I was also wary of bringing the others." She added.

"Yes, I do understand. This could be disastrous if word got out. A malicious spirit masquerading as our God and using his name to cause trouble. I have no doubt he'd easily influence some of our people to follow him blindly." Kokomi noted.

"There is also the chance he is the real Orobashi, just sick and twisted by the darkness that remained. To avoid further straining the internal relationship of Inazuma, I thought it best we look into this first to know for sure."

"Agreed." Kokomi told her as they continued on.

Eventually after a few more minutes of trekking, they finally found themselves at the base of the Serpent's skull. Kokomi looked around confused, there was no one here. She then turned back to Yae, but Lady Miko had already made it inside the skull and opened a metal gate that hid been hidden in the Serpent's mouth. "Follow me." Yae ordered as leapt in without even looking back at Kokomi.

Kokomi was hesitant but still jumped either way. She landed with a soft thud, splashing water around her. As she looked around she found herself in an underground chamber of sorts. It seemed like this tunnel had gone straight to the base of the island if lower, because there was sea water streaming inside. "Lady Yae." Kokomi called out as she walked down the chamber. She could feel the spiritual energy in the area. It was dense, like a thick fog surrounding her.

As Kokomi kept walking she could only feel a sense of dread growing on her. Where was Yae and where was the Spirit? Was it truly Orobashi or just an impostor? All those thoughts begun cluttering her mind as she kept walking. She didn't even notice she was being followed.

Eventually Kokomi arrived at a dead end. She sighed now wondering if she was lost. She was about to turn back but then...

ZAP!

....a surge of electro flooded her body, shocking her. Kokomi soon collapsed, twitching on the floor and the electrified water kept her stunned.

"My my, what do we have here." Yae chuckled. Kokomi shifted her self ever so slightly to see Yae sitting on a rock, looking at her with a malicious grin on her face.

"Looks like I've caught myself a little fishy." She laughed as a dark shadowy figure emerged behind her. "May I present Sangonomiya Kokomi, the current ruler of Watasumi Island." Yae informed the spirit. "Will she do?" Yae questioned.

The spirit didn't even respond, instead it dashed forwarded, lunging straight for Kokomi. Kokomi could only brace herself as the spirit entered her body. She tried to resist it. Tried to fight back, but the spirit's will was stronger. "No please, my Lord." She pleaded, but the spirit didn't listen. Soon Kokomi's world went dark.

'Yae' looked as Kokomi's body spasmed for a moment, not just from the shock but also from the invading spirit. However she soon calmed down. Kokomi's eyes opened with snake like slit in them before they change back to normal. She sat up, still in the water, and begun examining himself. She even reached down and cupped some water in her hand, throwing it on herself as she felt the wetness against her skin.

"Well Lady Yae, I must say. You definitely seemed to have exorcised the spirit from this island." Kokomi said as she looked at Yae, a smile forming on her face.

"Oh please it was a team effort, I couldn't have done it without you Kokomi." Yae responded. "Now let's head back, I'm sure Watasumi Island is waiting for its leader to return."

"Yes...let's return, home." Kokomi answered as she stood up. She almost tripped on her self but lucky for her Yae caught her. Soon the two departed leaving the remains of the Serpent God behind.
