Kill Chet The Merchant
Madeline knew that even if she just killed the Merchant it would hurt Goodspring's supply line--that meant less gear for the settlers of Goodsprings to use against the Powder Gangers. So she settled on old fashioned murder. She was a Ganger afterall.
Madeline had crept into the Goodsprings general store with ease late at night. Even with everyone supposedly on edge. She had waited until it was dark and moved among the shadows. The wooden floors creaked under her light tread, but it was late and the careless merchant was fast asleep.
She grabbed a large number of caps, and caps worth of gear in a small satchel. Every bit of gear she could take from the citizens of Goodsprings was one less piece of gear they could use against the Gangers. After she had a sack full of equipment she moved to the merchant's room. A quick movement of her knife across his throat would be more than enough. As Madeline slowly opened the door the join creaked loudly. Chet began to emerge from his slumber and fumbled at a side table. Madeline didn't have any option as she suspected he was going for a gun.
*Bam bam bam* her pistol rang out in the night--deafeningly loud in the small room. But each shot landed true. After she was sure that the merchant was dead she rushed out of the store. This would draw attention. But at least she also got a few baubles for herself.
